A hit for 1k that drops stoneskin on a pld will hit a warrior for 1.4k and drop his stoneskin too. As a fellow healer I call shenanigans on your logic. Also why even use bene as an example? It full heals either class.....
Also come end of fight you will have spent more mana on a warrior regardless of how efficient sk is

From what I've been reading it doesn't matter if a Warrior is viable since its much easier to keep a Paladin healed up. Knowing that the playerbase will always gravitate to whatever is easier, it doesn't matter how much you guys defend Warriors (and that's the job that I'll eventually consider my main. Looks like I'm going to know how Dragoons felt in FFXI).
The only way to "fix" this situation is to make Warriors better than Paladins (but then the Paladins will be the gimpy tank) because that's the only way you'll get the mindset of the playerbase to change.
Still, just looking at the math, I'd say that (unless the developers have some kind of secret way to play Warriors) there are some things that really need to be changed:
- Healing buff from Defiance should be a static 25% bonus instead of being capped at 15% with a full stack of Wrath (which I'm guessing Warriors rarely have if they want to heal themselves with Inner Beast).
- Warrior self healing needs to be improved. In a perfect world, both Paladins and Warriors should be able to last the same amount of time against the same mob without having any kind of outside support from another player. Having Defiance up effectively gimps many Warrior healing abilities that depend on damage dealt. Having Defiance up should instead change these self-healing abilities to heal a percentage of HP.
Then there's one last thing. Paladins getting an ability that makes them Invulnerable (well, not to everything) for 10 seconds is much better than anything that Warriors get. But how do you fix something like this? Give Warriors a similar ability? Why have two tanking classes if they function the exact same way then? Take the ability away from Paladins? Can't agree with that either. The best I can come up with is giving Warrior's an ability that also lasts 10 seconds during which each individual damage taken is capped at a certain % of HP.

WAR, SMN, SMN and me! (SCH), Selene was the healer! hehe I never left Cleric Stance. It was sooo awesome! All 3 of us were bane'ing the sets of three mobs, throwing down our Circle Slow thingy, dotting like it's no bodies business! I would run ahead and pull stuff for the heck of it maan it was so awesome! It was a JP group though. . .not sure if EN players can handle the level of awesomeness hahaha (just kidding don't kill me >_<)
Oh right! WAR! >_< uhem. . . Maan that WAR was soooo OP! Selene was healing him like a boss, I. . . I think I only had to heal him like. . .3 or 4 times and leech him of course hehe XD
Diminishing returns are not a myth. It's possible to oversaturate your writing with cutesy crap and I believe you have just done so.

If I type all serious mode, people jump to conclusions, say I'm ignoring this and that, I'm being rude, I'm a jerk or just plain dumb even though I had no intent on being/doing so. It makes it hard to pass the time here at work. .sigh. .

Using your numbers I'll prove your theory just as wrong.
In my coil group and food buff I have 6157hp. So that means the WHM (Not shitty SCH one but WHM) stone skin absorbs 1108 dmg on me. Now a WAR in comparable gear usually is around 7200 or so hp. Giving that stone skin 1296. So not only do they only absorb less then 200 hp more with their stone skin, they take MORE then 20% additional damage due to blocks. So if I was to take 1000 dmg then my stone skin would still have 108 dmg left on it. If that same WAR took the exact same hit he would take upwards of 1400 dmg. Leaving his stoneskin gone and actually taking dmg.
At no point will your stone skin absorb more then your cure II until possibly BiS geared tanks. Just because you "think" something is true doesn't make it true. Fact is these numbers have been worked from every which direction and wars just flat out need a buff to defense to make them viable. This is why 99% of FC's working on turn 5 made theirs go PLD.
I don't think WARs suck at all but they do need a buff to survival. Not a big one just one that brings them up to PLD mitigation. But hey you know better cuz you healed a couple tanks right?

In my opinion War is sub tank plain n simple. Great for tanking adds that pop. You will see when you get to coils.
