LOL. Please. Every Final Fantasy has atleast one feature that is new and unique to gaming as a whole and then afterwards relegated to Final Fantasy History.

FFXIII had the Paradigm Shift. FF7 had Materia, FF8 had GF Junctioning,

Right now FFXIV's only claim to fame in this field was the Armoury(Good) and Guildleves(Bad) but Guildleves many people consider it a bit of a failure.

I'm not talking about FFXIV's specific features (the armoury was an example). What I'm saying is, that point contradicts your 'requests' because you're saying "We want classic FF stuff, but one of the old this
is new things."

EDIT: I should add I do agree with some things you've said being put in with the exception of wanting an old-style FF UI. I want something slick like FFXIII's rather than the mickey-mouse hands styles of old. Anyone who isn't a FF player (and remember, they want to attract a good audience to the game) isn't likely to appreciate it either.


Adding new features is not something that is a recognisable trait of FF games any more than it is of any genre of gaming as a whole.
