Well, there also are monsters? I've always liked the classic monsters that change styles throughout the titles. I don't mind new ones like the diremites either.

Also guys if you list a feature please try and quantify which section it should be listed under.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Inbound
Bosses that change during progression. I think Every SP FF has this. I dont remember ff7, i know ff8 had various transitions, sorc/lion/ultimecia etc, ff9 also with kuja/kuja2/etc, and ff10 was my fave tbh where you'd fight the summons and yevon.
Its like a "omg finally its over!... wait wtf its not! ahh!"
I'd love some unique transport too, I'm all for Airships and chocobos but like FF10 you had them big elephant things, in FF8 you had Trains, in FF9 you had them carriages that the mobs would carry across the cave ceiling. It was very nice way to travel. I would love trains in XIV

I'd say thats missing more then inbound. I don't know of any mention of them yet.Inbound

6 had the climb up the weird tower all the way to Kefka, which was well-done, IMO.Inbound

8 also had cars, which I found amusing.in FF8 you had Trains, in FF9 you had them carriages that the mobs would carry across the cave ceiling. It was very nice way to travel. I would love trains in XIV
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

Added Trains and Doom Train :P

Hah oh yeh cars!! Though im not sure how that would work, given that mmo's dont have a "WorldMap" so to speak haha.
Sorry Cairdeas i did mean "Missing"!

I think this has ultimately been the worst problem SE has given themselves with FFXIV.
They tried too hard to make it seem like a normal MMO to everyone, then trying to make it seem like an Exceptional Final Fantasy to us Final Fantasy Fans.
Recently though we were told Jobs were inbound. This is a great step forward towards making it feel more like a Final Fantasy. Other elements we know are coming. Chocobos will eventually show up. As will other features.
But I'd like to compile a list of feature that past Final Fantasy's Had that have become synonymous with Final Fantasy that are currently missing from FFXIV. If you can think of anything please post it. I'll Also post a list of features from Past FF's that are being debated for implementation. Any that get implanted into FFXIV we can mark off the list. If the feature is already in game but not accessible to the player we'll keep it marked as Inbound. So please, help me fill these lists.
Already Present:
- Game Title
- Original Story
- Quests
- Summon Entities (Appearance only Not Usable Yet)
- Unique Experimental Features
Inbound:
- Chocobo
- Airship
- Jobs
- Materia
- Joinable Oraganizations (Avalance, Returners, Companies, etc.)
- Dungeons
- More Quests
- More Epic Storyline Elements that really move the player.
Missing:
- More Unique and Experimental systems that could be classified as Unique to Final Fantasy after implementation..
- Usable Summons
- Colorful Unique Enviroments
- Robust City-life filed with non player elements that catch the eye.
- Elements that promote Emotional Attachment to the Game, and other Players.
- More Monster Variation
- More Classical Returning Monsters
if you list a feature please try and quantify which section it should be listed under.
well lol ff13 had no monster variation if u considered making the same 20 models have 2 skins..... it was sad really and so far this game is in the same ballfield just slightly better. ff11 had many types and skins and at least alot of the skins saw drastic changes. ie. different beastman models for different job types etc at least they can say this game is still int he growing phase and introduce many new types and maybe more original types. But the OP has a point this game is seriously lacking any concrete FF trademark at this point. People wouldnt have complained as much to begin w/ had it been called something other than FF14.

I would say that certain "traditional" monsters such as behemoths, tonberries, mindflayers, coerls(in the .dats I think), and Sahagin(as of yet unimplemented beast tribe) are pretty important to FF. I also miss certain UI elements like the little pointing finger icon for menu selection(yes I know, stupid).
Can't think of much else that hasn't already been said.

ACtually I'm in favor of them implementing a FF1-7 Hybrid Menu system. Its been sorely lacking.I would say that certain "traditional" monsters such as behemoths, tonberries, mindflayers, coerls(in the .dats I think), and Sahagin(as of yet unimplemented beast tribe) are pretty important to FF.
