I suggest dragoons macro all their off the GCD spells, that'll work really nicely, so will using only 1 per GCD window vs 2, it won't be a dps loss at all.

Unfortunately it doesnt work that well for DRG, since only a few of them are your typical buff CDs. The rest is stuff that needs to be put into specific spots of your rotation like Life Surge before Full thrust or Power Surge one GCD before Jump or Spineshatter Dive or stuff that needs to be timed at openings like jump itself, spineshatter dive, dragon fire dive or they cant be used freely because of the diminishing returns of stuns like leg sweep. You can however macro internal release and blood for blood into one, which i am doing myself.

That's exactly my point actually, making an off the gcd macro for bard also causes problems. Again I was being sarcastic implying EasymodeX should stop using dragoon logic for bards, because trying to force dragoons to play like his/her/it's concept of bards also doesn't work.

Well you can put all your typical buff CDs on one button without any problems, meaning Internal release, blood for blood, hawks eye, barrage and raging strikes.

I do the same in smaller dimensions on DRG with internal release and blood for blood being macrod on one button.

I consider buffs buffs, not skills. I guess skills could instead be called "Weapon Skills" if that clarifies things slightly.

Bard can put more damage cooldowns in one macro, yes.
But that doesn't automatically mean there are a smaller number of "situational" skills to be used outside of the base "rotation" and buff macro.

Even with a few pretty great macros that will let you basically ignore separate buttons for Bloodletter, Misery's End, and Flame Arrow, and throwing the majority of your damage cooldowns together (IR, Hawk, B4B, RS, barrage), you're still left with at least a dozen buttons. You have an opener that takes about 20 seconds if all your buffs were off cooldown when you started, then you start making decisions between 3-4 buttons based on the current situation every global. It's a priority list setup that has you making decisions every Global (or half global, or even in between half globals with Blunt Arrow).

DRG is much more conducive to a rotation style. Once you learn the rotation (which is obviously more complex than the bard opener), there are far less decisions to be made about what skill to use next (as long as you're not missing and having to restart combos). Instead, more concentration is focused on positioning.

The comparison is apples to oranges.
Trying to mash them together to compare orples against orples leaves you with a fruit(conclusion) that doesn't exist (yet) in the real world.

    blm.

brd has a simple rotation but more utility than blm based on current content. people who are lazy don't like utility. so you would not want to be a bard during turn 2 ads focusing on silencing, singing, rot passing, laser dodging, dps maxing but you would probably want to be a blm focusing on rot passing, laser dodging, and dps maxing. 2 less things for you to worry about.

BARD!!! i like lazy bards!!! i managed to stun and silence Chimera (as PLD), while keeping agroo, at the 5th attempt, with 2 lazy bards on group!!!
    Whoooot hurra for Lazy BARDS!!!
they didnt silence her a single time... but its pretty funny see em jumping here and there.

No offense, i also grouped with great bards as well, just a joke about OP, our "new Drunken Bard" incoming!

PD: im interested on this matter, also looking for the lazy dps class... tanking can be stressing some times...
