This is mostly to new players because they have yet to build up to a lvl 50 craft to support a good supply of income.People keep saying this, but it's the complete opposite for me. Crafting didn't cost me a dime. In fact, it made me a ton of money while leveling it. I started at about 40k gil, and by the time I got WVR up to Lv50, I had 500k. Linen products were extremely profitable. By the time I got CRP up to Lv50, I had 800k. Not as profitable, but HQ WVR and GSM offhands sell very well. Now I'm making a lot of money on Relic precursors.
I'm leveling LTW now and it's the first craft I'm sorta losing money on at Lv40. Skins and Fleece are expensive! But even then, I've managed to break even on it.
Legacy players had their time in 1.0 to build up crafting to lvl 50 so they have the benefit of a lvl 50 crafter being the one that makes the real money.
I'm on a Legacy server, but I didn't get any classes up higher than 30 during 1.0. I didn't have any crafting classes past 10. It's actually tougher to make money while leveling crafting on a Legacy server, since there are a lot less low levels to sell gear to (and those who are low level are usually Legacy players who make their own gear), but I've managed to make a good amount of money selling materials. It's really just a matter of gathering crafting mats yourself and selling the excess. This is mostly to new players because they have yet to build up to a lvl 50 craft to support a good supply of income.

Ff14 is probably one of the most interesting MMORPG I've played in terms of crafting... at least from a prespective of a newbie carpenter...
But how do i keep myself interesting? I zoom my camera out, press V and look at myself
My lala is so cute XDDDD
