there is a really funny issue with most (and yes I mean most) Elitist players. they need the best of the best equipment to do the lesser runs. if they were to do the same runs in the original equipment again they would repeatedly fail just as they did the first pass through an that is a big kick in the E-peni to them they don't or wont allow.

its all ego for the majority of the Elitist. they use the DPS meters and have to have every single advantage, watch every video of how to win a fight, read every thread on how to maximize damage and completely eliminate any challenge a dungeon might have, run past those 60 junk mobs because its always possible to wipe if Murphy rears its ugly head and thats not something they can afford to have hanging over they're heads the shame of having died on a run! making a run into a 17 minute run instead of 22 minutes is a laughable excuse for those players who will sit in town for 3 hrs showing off the latest armor piece by leaving character afk in the middle of the pathway.

the same players come into the forum and complain how SE has failed to supply a challenge they themselves have completely eliminated by over equipping for the current content over prepared for the runs by viewing every video of the content and avoiding anything in that content that may present a challenge if it doesn't actually drop the items they want.

I think you have some things wrong:

Elitism != Healthy

AK + WP does not require Darklight

This is not the worst endgame community (see LoL and Middle East)

Other then that - I understand your point and unfortunately there's nothing you can do aside from ignoring those who are assholes to you. Think of it as practice for life XD

...Elitist <> Jerks...I wish people would stop using the term Elitism like it means "Every single mean person who made me cry in CM". True "Elitists" have a FC and raid, they don't generally pug and when they do you won't see them complain to your face. Jerks roll into DF wanting people to have read the same guides they have read, and expect to waste exactly -5 minutes on an instance. This new wave of Jerks are wannabe elitists, they don't do any of their own theorycrafting or testing, they just follow the true elitists like sheep and treat people like crap to make themselves feel better.

My opinion, people have the right to ask for whatever party makeup they want if they're shouting for it in Mor Dhona.
And you have the right to look down upon them/ignore them, etc.

If you are a new 50, you'll probably want to get help from friends, or use the duty finder. More likely others in your position are also using the duty finder, so you're more likely to be paired with players on a similar level than with elitists who form premades.

Not only is this against the rules of the game, as you cannot single out who is playing on what system...

Actually there are no rules about discrimination in parties. SE lets people AFK all of CM, they will tell you it is not against the TOS, as it is how that person plays and they wont interfere with individual play style of players. So someone shouting that you cannot be on a PS3 is not against TOS even if it is elitist bs. I really feel that Midgard doesn't have to many elitist players, besides the few FC's that claim to be such. Also WP and AK do not require DL, they are the precursors for darklight. I do however agree with you that in DF there should be a story mode and a "speed run" mode. Maybe then people would leave this poor bloody horse alone.

I kind of agree and disagree. You DON'T need full DL for AK or WP I've done plenty of AK and finished it with people still in AK gear and AF. It slows it down yes but it's possible. What I WOULD say as a non elitist is a minimum DPS character requirement for AK should be Ifrits weapon it's very easy to farm and is a lot better than greens or grays that I consistently see in DF that way the DPS goes faster and no ones carrying your sorry butt (like me DPSing on SCH to carry those people >.>)

As for Titan I'm a little more on the fence. YES you do 100% need full DL for Titan otherwise you'll never live plumes and you should be hit by single plumes a lot especially after the last phase. Now I've never seen anyone aside from maybe Titan sellers farming Titan but Titan is a tough fight so if your gonna want to say I wanna farm this you better know what they heck your doing mistakes shouldn't be made as much but at the same time we're still humans behind the screen so mistakes will always be made and should be tolerated. Sure a lot of people won't but it's to be expected if they don't cause if you farm= you know what your doing

Bullshit. You can easily hit 3.4k HP with AK gear and DL accessories, and you can get away with less than that. You'll still survive a plume.
Optimally you should be able to dodge all of the plumes anyway.

This is wrong I am 7/9 on relics most of my jobs were AK geared had around 3k HP. Plumes only do like 1500 damage if you get hit by 1, however if you memorize the pattern and premove you never get hit.
