Relic +1 vs upgrading other slots

To sum up, the most logical (power>looks) way of doing things would be leaving you Relic+1 at the bottom of the list, and by this I mean getting the head, body, hands, legs and feet pieces first. If you just wanna look cool, and don't mind at all farming for Vanya stuff, Relic+1 it's the first thing you should get.

This is 100% wrong.

Not only is the Allagan equivalent weapon a turn 5 drop, the relic +1 single-handedly increases your healing throughput more per mythology tomestone than any other thing you can buy.

In summary, if you didn't get your relic +1 first, you have gimped yourself severely for 3 weeks.

your going to want to get your af2 chest first as a sch, then Fill from there. relic+1 is really not that important lol we get more in terms of other stats like crit.

You are going to want the HP from AF2 Chest/Helm over Relic+1. It will mean the difference of a one shot or not in Coil, if you happen to get caught in some AoEs.

Would you read the posts? I didn't say it was equal. I've said elsewhere that it's worth giving up a little throughput in exchange for basically an extra life in some critical situations.

I'm thinking of some crappy RNG lag spikes. It behooves me to opt for a bit more survivability because I do have occasional issues with sudden response drops with the client.

Besides...I'll have a relic+1 with AF2 chest/helm next week. Like it's a big deal.

get your relic + 1 first seriously I don't know why you would get anything else before it, the only comparable item is a turn 5 drop why is this even a decision. get your relic +1 first then aim for your AF2 chest and head if your so keen on looking cosmetic things.

You want the honest answer to all this? It doesn't matter either way.

The gains you get from Relic+1 are so close to be within the RNG range of heals with the base relic that we are talking about peanuts here. Factor in the RNG range of damage and RNG rotation of boss skills, and we are barely moving the needle. Then look at crit rate and instance of overheal vs. minimum HP threshold and it gets even less.

If everything can be predicted then fine tuning to the single digit would make sense, but this game has so much random flux in EVERYTHING that you can theorycraft all day to get almost no benefit in-game.

Experience trumps gear if we are talking about Relic+1 vs. Relic+AF2(2).
