this the reason why I skipped primal weapons for my PLD and worked on my Relic as quick as i can. In just 4 days I completed the quest.

58 tries before I saw a sword drop, and got mine. At least the fight only takes 10 minutes, and netted me over 200 myth tomes.

I got Ifrit's Blade on my first ever HM Ifrit. Sorry! Haha.

That being said I'm still on Hydra after 2 horrible PUGs for it with only 1 other FC member. Hoping to do it tonight.

I personally think Garuda is easier than Ifrit...usually when we fight Ifrit we "slow down" DPS to build up LB.

As for weapons, having Mog Blade from 1.0 has made me happy\sad. Happy I've had a good weapon since 50 but sad that none of the primal drops (with the exception of titan shield) are useful.

It's just bad luck. I ran. Brayflox 35x trying to battlemage gloves/boots. Gave up. Ran a guildie on my DRG and both dropped...

wow, sounds like i struck a nerve. if he is in there with his relic why do you think he is there? probably because he doesn't have the garuda weapon and wants it for his collection too. he even said he had ran it 50 times and hadn't seen it. just because there is someone else in there who had a crappy weapon doesn't mean he should give up his opportunity to get it. get real.

So when someone takes a warrior weapon cause you need it or whatever class you are, don't come crying here. Your pretty much saying if someone with the relic weapon which is THE best weapon in this game when you +1 it, is inferior to a primal weapon just because honeyboo farmed this primal and didn't get it YET they have their relic..hmm little sketchy. do you see how stupid that sounds and you sound? its honestly very very stupid. Give the people who need the upgrade so they can progress/catch up and tell the others who have the relics to suck it cause they don't need it.

Personally for Warrior I just bought Barbarians Badiche +1 as I doubt I will be lucky enough for ifrit drops and the BB+1 is readily available and inexpensive on my server.

Its not that far off Ifrits weapon (-1 dmg, -2.16 auto atk, -3 str, -2 vit, -10 fire, -18 det).

If anything several of the stats are better (+7 parry, +25crit, -0.12 delay). It has 3 materia slots and I added +18 accuracy too.

yeah, i wont come crying here. because i don't need a bunch of strangers to hold my hand and pat my head saying "it's ok you'll get it next time." if im doing a dungeon or primal because i want the weapon and the weapon drops, i'm needing it, but im sure whoever loses on the roll will come and cry because the community in this game is filled with a bunch of whiny babies.

Why would you ever do that? If your DPS is so high that you have to stop in order to build LB, just keep going and focus down a nail before you Meteor. There's no reason to ever build LB on purpose on Ifrit.

You know the first thought in my head when I got Ifrit's blade after run #51 was that Garuda's would probably just drop on the first kill. Oh the irony.
