OH MY.... what's wrong with you guys? against everything! don't want jumping, don't want AH, don't want NM gear drops and now don't want pet jobs?

Actually, I want all those other things. And I do like summons, being a long-time FF fan. However, they have no place in a MMO. As I said, the only possible good way to implement them is to make them just a powerful ability like a 2 hour. You can only use once every so often and it is an effect that lasts a short time like the older FF games, but not as pets.

they abandoned "quick effect summons" since FFX and become controlable summons, why we need to step back to the old one?

I obviously mean MMOs... you know, the type of game we are playing right now! And by broken, I mean overpowered and unbalanced. Beastmaster from XI says 'hello'

that's boring (in my opinion) I want it as a pet which we can level them up and manage their attributes/skills and write AI for them

To each his/her own. I'm just stating my problem with it. If the devs could somehow come out with a ballanced summoner class (very doubtful), then I'd reconsider. But I have never seen a good pet class in another MMO that wasnt broken as hell or loluseless, or very situational. And to the dread of summoners everywhere, If they do come out with the job, then I won't be suprised at having summoners being relegated to healers or very specific situations for summoning. I had a Drg buddy, and I would always invite him to my parties when I could. I just felt so bad for the guy. But seriously, no body wants over powered pet classes, or to be pitied by others and be given a charity spot in endgame (I'm looking at you Bst).
