    This brings me back to those old MMO days hah.

    One crypt with a coffin that could only opened for the boss every 30 minutes, there was a line up, literally every player who wanted a turn just waited in line - whoever was next went right by the coffin and waited.
    Or even item chests with a 2 hour cooldown for an important quest item... that didn't always drop, line up of players - with some people trying to steal the spawn by disconnecting on the chest and reconnecting a few seconds before the cooldown and then trying to "ninja" it. So much drama.

    Man, I don't want those days to ever come back haha

    I am amazed to see the greed that is shown even by some posters ....why in the heck "mine' for money? this is a game and the economics are for the game to be enjoyable, not to be a factory. I hope people will not forget the purpose of being IN the game. Strange times to even have to say anything about this

    Is this official? Because I was in the diremites area for a quest last night (at around 2 am CET) and with my surprise I saw I was alone. So I started farming a bit. I'm pretty sure that in some spots there was an extra banemite and I could go from one to next without waiting a second. Or is it because I was alone?

    not sure if all ppl know that but the person to tag the mobs and the person that did most of damage both get the exp, quest reward never really look if you still get the loot

    Yes. It mainly applied to static camps with a named mob that dropped something special, or a static camp that needed to be broken. It didn't apply when farming bat wings, or other random spawning, wandering mobs like giants, mammoths or cyclops that were killed for money, spider silk, HQ pelts, etc. where you had to run over a large area to find them. There is a reason we called it camping.

    Edited Note: While I feel some nostalgia for EQ on occasion, all budding game developers should be required to play EQ to learn lessons on "What Not to Do". Camp check is one of them (although I'd be surprised if there is enough population that it's still necessary). It's bad that SE deliberately created this conflict.

    You get everything but the loot. Even if you need an item to drop for a quest (that isn't a monsters traditional drop, but is only a quest item) it will drop without being the first to tag. All you can't get are the mat items.
