Unless I've missed a stealth hotfix to the combat log, you can't actually back this up. Parsers (both of them) are necessarily inaccurate because the combat log is junk and omits things. No one *actually* knows what the highest DPS class is.

Yeah I talked to Pound on Steam a little while ago. I rolled on Cactaur because it was the only server I could create a character on. I'm probably transferring somewhere different tomorrow though. Too many people I know from too many previous games. =(

Easily. We did tests with the dummies and parsers. Just the summoner doing damage. Shadowflare, Bio II and Bio I were completely ignored by the parser, that's a good chunk of our DPS right there being ignored and a SMN still pulled solo DPS equal to or higher than solo BRD or solo BLM on the lv50 dummies (equally geared).

Plus the extremely powerful synergy with foe's requiem as it affects any MAGIC class damage (including Garuda - all her attacks count as Magic class, Ifrit counts as physical class) makes you a powerhouse for reliable sustainable DPS throughout a fight.

That's because the parser tracks DoTs the way the game does, a big ball of potency combined from all your dots. I'm willing to bet your Miasma was hitting for a completely absurd amount on the parser, when anyone can see that something is clearly wrong.

Correct. But feel free to look at the potency of the other spells in the rotation of both classes, and you'll quickly see that you have no chance to outdamage them whatsoever without those 3, unless SMN uses flat-out different damage mechanics than every other class (by a huge margin).

What parser are you guys using? Mine tracks DoTs and everything . Most of the time i out dd blms combined with garuda egi's dmg. The job is quite OP and only noobs post crap about it. Yes it's a very bland class designed by SE but very busy and fun to use.
