Allagan pants dropped tonight, yay, more to my awesome DPS output. Next up I need them allagan boots to drop and my ilvl 90 armor will be complete - then its accessories time.

Unfortunately, summoner is not the highest dps class, if you are using that dps tracker application, your numbers are extremely inflated.

Thats the thing, we used the xivapp before they updated it to confirm that Shadowflare, Bio I and Bio II were not tracked AT ALL in any form by the parser, everything else worked fine though - as long as you were the only one doing DPS - so tests on dummies were fully accurate.
And no, I do not use a parser for anything, I just know my DPS and my Garuda-Egi DPS combined make me top DPS material.
{Trust me, I'm a Summoner}
Currently summoners are the highest DPS because they can sustain high DPS throughout the fight on multiple targets - overall effective DPS is #1 for summoners.
I might be crazy but, summoners and dragoon in the same group = most awesome dps I've ever seen since launch. Things just melt down.

Can I just call attention to the fact that people saying...
"The parsers are broken. Summoners aren't getting parsed right..."
While at the same time claiming that...
"Summoners are NOT the highest (or high) dps..."
If the parsers aren't accurate, then how does anyone know? ;P My feelings are simply from experience.
You'll see lots of threads pop up from summoners complaining that they hate how their Egi looks, or hate that summoner acts like a warlock, or hate that the pets aren't bigger or don't account for a larger 'percentage' of our damage...
But you NEVER see a thread complaining about our damage... because our damage is great.
SMNs are the highest dps coz thats whatz SMNs sayz we urzz!!! orz!!
Haha, this reminds me of the one time I played with a SMN in a pug party way back in August. He claimed his dots were ticking 700 damage per SECOND. ofc, that bozo didnt realize that ticks were 3 seconds each and that his dots werent doing 700 damage. More like 150 per tick. Some of the most arrogant players are SMNs.
Dot damage averages out to about 70 dps. Ofc some players can probably do get a little more. But on average you are talking about 70 dps. Add in pet damage and ruin damage and that is the average SMN dps. One can draw his own conclusions right here.
All this "but but me parserzz show me the highest bs" does not fly in the face of real math.

It's very important to remember Fester damage. I've had my Festers crit for over 1.6k with Raging Strikes up (admittedly, this isn't always common... crits usually aren't that high, but it has happened for me). Without Raging Strikes or a crit, it's more like 700-800. You get to Fester three times a minute, so that's roughly 2k-3k more damage to factor in... Let's say I don't crit a single fester... That's 2400 extra damage, divided by 60... that's 40 more dps if I use Fester on cooldown, added to your average of 70 dps from DoTs (if that is a correct estimate... never did the math). Also, Ruin spam is our filler spell and is actually pretty good. My Ruins crit for 200+. This adds a lot more damage considering Ruin only takes about two and a half seconds to cast.SMNs are the highest dps coz thats whatz SMNs sayz we urzz!!! orz!!

Anyway, I think the 'arrogance' you see from summoners is a remnant of when the class FIRST came out. A lot of people were playing it, and many people incorrectly assumed that it wasn't very good. I'm not talking about aesthetic differences... I am talking about people thinking summoner was a bad class to play and just couldn't hold up in endgame. They did not realize that there ARE work-arounds for the situations we at first appear weak in. For example -- after every jump in Garuda, I will immediately reapply my DoTs and wait until adds spawn. If I'm lucky, I'll spread ALL of my DoTs onto the plumes before they move away... adding a lot of damage before they are even on the pillars. At first, people did not realize this was a viable option, and though summoner was 'unrealistic' in fights like Garuda.
Cut to a few weeks later, and here we are... people are realizing summoners are good damage and all the summoners who were told the class was 'bad' are relishing in the fact that it's not a bad class and is actually REALLY good. I'm not sure if you played SMN in FFXI, but it was a very impractical class for a VERY long time. People rarely wanted a summoner in their group, so playing the job was really more about loving it than being wanted. I feel as though a lot of people who played SMN in FFXI are 'finally' happy that they don't have to deal with this stigma... and are perhaps being a bit too zealous about it... which thus translates to 'arrogance'.
