You have three options.

1. Buy a lv 55 weapon for less than 10000 gil and it's already High quality. Dirt cheap
2. Fight Ifrit to get your weapon.
3. Gear yourself in WP.

You are REQUIRED to get a lv 50+ weapon and at least 3 lv 50+ armor before getting into AK. I don't know how many times I have to say, Run CM or WP until you have at least 3 pieces of lv 50+ armor and a lv 50+ weapon before getting into AK. AK drop lv 60 armor so you are REQURED to gear yourself to lv 50+.

Not disagreeing with anything you've said here. I was amused last night in WP when a full Darlkight geared tank told me I was undergeared for the dungeon wearing a mix of AF and Darklight myself (my jewelery could use upgraded, but I'm not in a hurry to get to primals or AK). Heck, he didn't heckle the bard that didn't have AF gear and item level 20 rings/bracelet.

We breezed through the zone untl Tonberry King. Tank assigned the bard add duty then rage quit after a single wipe. Thankfully we got a new tank and completed the zone after second attempt. Original tank was an elitiest d-bag.

Yeah, definitely don't need relic weapons for the demon wall. Relic weapons help kill it before the bees come out though.

Unless I've read the relic reborn quest information wrong, players need to go through AK as part of the Relic series. I understand people want others to have the Relic weapon for speed runs, though. On Cactuar, it seems people believe the Relic is a must anymore.

Why not make it incremental... 15 mins the first time you leave first, 20 the second time, keep adding 5 mins.

What about people who threaten to go AFK and not come back? I've had that happen a few times. They get mad and know if they leave we'll just requeue right away and problem solved. I had a lancer in my PUG recently that was an awful person in general which caused the healer to leave, then the dps, and then myself. He threatened to go AFK and not come back.. Should the three of us be punished with this lock out for 15 mins to 24 hours just because of that guy?

This is exactly what will happen way more often if the lockout is longer than the dungeon timer. Wait 90 minutes to fail the dungeon (or until the other's leave), or be unable to do dungeons for 24 hours? That is not a hard choice.

Let me guess... you joined Titan HM in your af gear? The fight can't finish if you're there.

Yeas it can, My FC has completed Titan with one man down almost the entire fight. Yes, through heart phase and all of phase 5. If everyone has AF, and no relic, then yeah, it's impossible. You do need at least a few people with relics, preferably +1s, and darklight to win.

I like 15 mins or less penalties, with better replacement filling ability. Because I know when I join a wanderer's palace and the tank has less than 4.5k HP, I LEAVE, no exceptions.

Yet you can't get a weapon better than a level 44 weapon without running AK to get one, see the problem? They (SE) would not have made the dungeon the way it is if it was unfinishable with gear you should have at that point.

Run Wanderer's Palace get a level i55 weapon? You know.. the same one you need for your relic? Just get a second weapon (preferably HQ cause its so cheapfrom the market) and there you have it. You can even put whatever materia you want in it
