You say you've leveled multiple combat classes and crafting classes OP. Now imagine all that time dedicated into a single job for endgame.
And there you have it, hardly "rushing"

So on the one hand you have a person who for whatever reason ignores one of the basic tenants of this game's design and decides to focus on only one job. They complain that the game has limited content when played this way and would like SE to remake the game to suit them.
Then on the other hand you have someone who 'gets' a Final Fantasy MMO which is to say that they level multiple jobs, craft, and enjoy the variety of content that SE designed the game to offer. They are not bored and are fairly happy playing and having a good time.
So should SE have anticipated an influx of single-minded players from other more singularly-focused MMOs? Or should they expect players to adapt and realize that this game isn't about putting yourself in one mold? Its not like Final Fantasy has ever hidden this aspect. It's never been a 'one-class' game - even in XI.
If you really want to be really useful to your Free Company, the game allows you to level multiple jobs so that when forming a party you can say "I can be a DD or a tank. Or I can be a healer or a DD!" Or even better: "I can be a tank or a DD or I can meld that relic for you! Or I can gather that stuff for your gear!" I guess I like to think Final Fantasy has always been about helping each other in the best way possible than about reaching your own single-minded goals.
This is the point I was trying to make as well. I just see so many complaints being made on these forums which are either misinformed and incorrect, or just make no sense from what I know of the game. I wish people did even the smallest bit of research before spending the time to spam the forums and demand things.

Hardly. This game may have encouraged the armory system in 1.0, but the current endgame system does not. Coil? Limited times per week per floor, thus limited gearing up of jobs. Myth? Again, capped per week, and apart from accessories, job specific, meaning even less progress per item than Coil gear. Philosophy? Okay, you got me there. We can gear up a second set of DL gear at about ~50+ runs of CM.
The game's endgame design doesn't encourage multiple jobs unless they share gear. I only leveled PLD because it shares gear with WAR. Would I level BLM or WHM if it meant I couldn't gear them up with myth / Coil gear because I'm decking out WAR? Would I have leveled PLD if it didn't share a lot of WAR gear? Not really, no. I either start coming to events as something other than my main job and get into a situation where I can roll on my main job's gear or my secondary job's gear (but not both because I want to share gear drops with members), or I get into a situation I gear my main job while the secondary one remains sub-par for the content. Or I try to gear both and make tedious progress where a group would benefit from one job being highly geared rather than two half-geared ones.
Moreover, the game does have limited content. Crystal Tower was supposed to be in the game at release. We're missing an entire multi-floor endgame dungeon that was supposed to give us more gearsets and more things to do before venturing into coil. It's perfectly reasonable to point to lack of content when the game didn't ship with everything planned for it. Moreover, leveling in the game isn't hard, and if you're just going to level up one job, you'll hit 50 in no time from casual playing.
The other option if you want to level something else is a crafting or gathering class, but let's be honest here, not everyone wants to do that, and by not wanting to do that, it doesn't mean that they don't "get" a "Final Fantasy MMO." It just means that they have no interest.
