    Am I just crazy or...?

I have been playing Realm Reborn since launch and in that time I have leveled multiple combat classes and crafting classes to level 50. I have had fun doing it and I am just now starting to explore "endgame" content. I have barely any Darklight gear but instead crafted my own Ilvl55 HQ green gear for my classes and melded Materia in to them. I have no AF2, I have about 40 mythology tombstones to my name from farming Ifrit for weapons. I am probably going to log on today and kill Ifrit some more and maybe run Amador Keep for the second time ever. I am going to have fun doing it and tomorrow I will probably craft for money and I will have fun doing it.

I guess I made this thread because I really don't understand why people "rush" content and then complain about how miserable they are. Am I just the odd one out for actually having fun playing a game? Why does everyone feel the need to have the best gear as fast as possible, what are you even using it for? 99% of people who play this game don't even run Coil, I really just don't understand!

... Sorry OP but this is unnecessary to post now. Players just do what the want. There are various way to enjoy game so don't call out people miserable.

I must be the only person who is just sick of seeing "Why do you people rush?"
Game is pretty much an easy case to level.

Cool friend Yoshi said this: "The game begins at 50."
    Well...there's your initiative right there.
But yeah, it's cool and all you're having fun. Keep enjoying yourself.

Alot of people are being called rushers when that's not even the case now.

Yeah when the game first launched, then a few days later if someone complained, of course that would be a rusher.

At this point in time, even the most casual gamer can be at endgame. Not everyone wants to level all classes. Me I chose 1 battle class 4 crafts (50) and 1 gatherer (34), so I did plenty of other stuff.

The biggest complaint is the repetition of endgame. It doesn't matter if someone is doing AK once a week, or 8 times a week. It's still repetitive weather you take your time or not because thats all there is every time you log in.

There shouldn't be just 1 or 2 ways to get tomes.

Imagine playing final fantasy 7 and only doing the intro mission 8 times a week for 5 months then fighting sephiroth at the end to clear the game.

    It's a bad design choice.

You know OP, there comes a time when playing the game isn't considered rushing. You could go at a relative Snail's pace and still clear all the content in the game currently. Just because you decided not to do the content and others decided to clear content, it doesn't mean they rushed.

You say you've leveled multiple combat classes and crafting classes OP. Now imagine all that time dedicated into a single job for endgame.
And there you have it, hardly "rushing"

So on the one hand you have a person who for whatever reason ignores one of the basic tenants of this game's design and decides to focus on only one job. They complain that the game has limited content when played this way and would like SE to remake the game to suit them.

Then on the other hand you have someone who 'gets' a Final Fantasy MMO which is to say that they level multiple jobs, craft, and enjoy the variety of content that SE designed the game to offer. They are not bored and are fairly happy playing and having a good time.

So should SE have anticipated an influx of single-minded players from other more singularly-focused MMOs? Or should they expect players to adapt and realize that this game isn't about putting yourself in one mold? Its not like Final Fantasy has ever hidden this aspect. It's never been a 'one-class' game - even in XI.

If you really want to be really useful to your Free Company, the game allows you to level multiple jobs so that when forming a party you can say "I can be a DD or a tank. Or I can be a healer or a DD!" Or even better: "I can be a tank or a DD or I can meld that relic for you! Or I can gather that stuff for your gear!" I guess I like to think Final Fantasy has always been about helping each other in the best way possible than about reaching your own single-minded goals.
