I think that says more about the mentality in this forum that somehow hardcore = superior by default, or that it really means anything more than "I have more time to game".
Also, my quote was actually making fun of the person it was quoting.
So you're telling me that learning a set pattern is hard?
You're telling me that finding a party of people who can also do this is really tough?
I didn't realise this game was different in that way from the countless other MMOs I've played... Thanks for letting me know in time, I guess I better quit now and save myself the frustration of failing!
Actually, I think he's telling you to actually experience all of the hard content in the game before declaring the game is easy. But that could just be me. >.>
While I agree with your definition of Hardcore, I take issue with your definition of casual. The actual definition of casual does not have anything negative associated with it. A casual player is just someone who doesn't have as much time, who doesn't care about getting the best possible gear/progression/etc as soon as he possibly can and just plays the game to have fun and do what he feels like.Your definition of "Hardcore" is skewed, Hardcore doesn't mean plays all the time it means they put a lot of effort into the time they play. People who don't have alot of time can be considered hardcore as well if they apply themselves.
Casual is generally just atributed to people who want everything instantly with no effort.
Your definition of casual falls better under the definition of Lazy and Bad. :P
