Just watch all of the cutscenes anyways. Who cares, your party members can't kick you.

If someone is going to get upset over someone experiencing the story in a FF game then fuck them. I hope those people all quit and never come back. If you don't care about the story at all then I don't know why your even playing XIV.

Speed runners, you took the risk of "dealing" with people who watch the cutscenes by queuing via DF. If you don't want to deal with them, MAKE YOUR OWN SPEED RUN PARTY. Takes zero effort to spam in shout.

If you use the duty finder you have to understand that you might meet up with people who do not share your same opinions on topics like these. People shouldn't use the DF and degrade others who want to watch cut scenes, but really they cannot stop you from watching a cut scene and can easily 7 man the dungeon while you enjoy the story and nobody will be able to blame you if you do that. However, if you are using the DF and want to watch cut scenes you will have to understand that you will most likely run into people who don't want to and might be upset that you do. Degrading people that watch the cut scenes is wrong but at the same time you are forcing your will on 7 other people by doing so which isn't necessarily bad in this specific case. BUT asking SE to force everyone to watch the cut scenes is beyond what they did to you OP, it is an attempt to force your own narrow minded will on the entry community.

This goes for both sides, live and let live, enjoy each others company instead of fighting and trying to undermine everyone that doesn't agree with you. If you don't want to deal with people that aren't following your own paradigm then get a group together and play how you want. This is one reason why people shout for geared players for CM speed runs, which of course also spurs threads of people complaining about people taking the time to find others at their level.

This is why the thing I hate the most about MMOs is the community as a whole. You guys can't just let others play how they want and think anyone you come in contact with has to follow your way of thinking or they are bad weather it be morally or based on in game skill. Granted it is nice to give advice to people in a positive manner but this insulting people before you even try and help them and then on the other side trying to force others to deal with how you want to do things is wrong.

SE put the cutscenes in the dungeon, players are the ones who decided to use it to speedrun tomes.
I side with the DF being used for the storyline run & having the speed runners forming their own parties.

I personally wouldn't spoil the cutscenes for someone who wants to watch them in context with the dungeon. That to me is inconsiderate.
I don't mind wasting a little more time while I'm wasting time playing.

We're not playing other ff games, we're playing an online game with people who have lives, jobs, etc.

When you sign on to DF, you agree to take what you get. Don't want to get hooked up with first timers who want to watch cutscenes? Then take some control, and organize a group of your own. Can't do that, or don't want to? Then stop bitching that the lazy way out doesn't give you exactly what you want every time.

I've haven't done those instances because if that. It ruined the whole experience for me. Final Fantasy were good stories thats what hooked me. But ppl in DF is trying to speedrun and everybody was in full AF armor. I may be new to end game but I do know speedruns with a full party in all AF is not a speedrun at all. Truth be told since everybody had full AF on some of the cs looked very Final Fantasyish. Lol

No one is forcing you to run CM. No one. I have four pieces of DL and af2 and I only did cm twice, once for myself and once for a friend. That's not counting the dl body and necklace for my drg.

Feel free to watch the cutscenes, but I'm not waiting for you if I've done the dungeon umpteen times. Blame SE for making a storyline dungeon the best source for ToP.

Duty finder is designed fo r the full game experience and is the requirement to compete story mode.Asking or requiring people to skip the content for your or others needs isn't warrented. As much as I want to speed run to get tomes for all my 50's, I know a personal party is the only right way to do it.

I was one of those guys that were spoiled. I've ran CM probably over 30 times, and I still haven't watched the Cs's lol. On another note, I don't think you can watch all of those Cs's in your Inn, only the victory one. But you can always youtube it and enjoy.

Why can't you just watch a videotape of your first child being born instead of actually being there?
Why can't you just look at what the weather was like today from the news at the end of the day instead of going outside?
Why can't you just watch FFXIV videos on YouTube instead of playing the game?

I watch ffxiv videos, but i pay to play the game, and i play how i want, others too.
