Speed-running cut-scene skippers...

Ruined the entire ending of the main story for me. I was completely and absolutely deprived of the true experience. They totally ruined the entire mood and atmosphere. Yet these same people had the nerve to talk down upon me (with profanity and other name-calling of course) when truthfully, they're the ones that are entirely in the wrong.

This CANNOT be allowed to continue. If it were up to me, I'd simply perma-ban people like this for polluting the community. However, I suggest that Duty Finder dungeon runs should simply force cut-scenes that can't be skipped. If they want to speed run the instance the burden should be placed upon them to find other like-minded individuals rather than ruining the experience for other people.

I agree they should never, EVER talk down or degrade you. However, they have a right to not wait for you and to kill all the enemies / bosses (while you're watching the scene) just as much as you do to watch the scenes.

If you don't like like continuing without you, you can simply find a group of people who want to enjoy all the cutscenes. But to get mad at them for not waiting for you works both ways.

Thats the biggest load of rubbish ive seen on the forums yet.

Speed runs should be pre made only you dont have the right to spoil the storyline for another player because you want to rush it and compleat as fast as you can

Thanks for telling all the speed run players how they should HAVE to play. If you read the post, I'm not saying people shouldn't view cutscenes. View them all you want. I'll just happily go with the other 6/7 members of the party and clear the trash and bosses while you do so.

or you could EASILY join a shout PUG for it and go with people who all have the same goal rather than ruin the fun of others just because you're lazy.

In an official post SE recognized the disconnect between people running the same dungeon with different goals. There is a problem here and one that SE has acknowledged.

Or you could EASILY join and shout a PUG that views all cutscenes because you want everyone to wait for you. Works both ways, right?

I was watching some youtube vids of various dungeons last night. There was this one, where the two dps were watching the cut scenes, but not the tank or healer. The tank pulled ... early ... in a long cut scene. LOL I give him and the healer credit, they survived for a bit before they got overwhelmed by the increasing adds. Happily, it was a formed group of friends and the two dps just laughed with them before they went on and finished the duty on the next try. A lot of folk would have been po'ed as all get out, but whatever. I don't let these things get to me when I'm personally involved. Ymmv.

Usually it's only 1 person watching. Heck, even 1 tank 1 dps watching a scene is usually no problem. But yeah.

You say that now, and it's unfortunate that they did that to you....but when you are running CM for Tomestones for the 10th time...you will be glad you can skip cut scenes. I don't support anyone that does what they did to you....but I do wish they would add a feature where you could turn cut scenes off that you've already been through. When using the DF for instances, I expect at least one new person that watches cut scenes...I just patiently wait.

How much flak I will get for wanting to experience the game's story as it was meant to be experienced....
I will try to find some people to do that with, doing it with randoms has little chance of success.

Honestly, to all those joining random CM/etc and wanting FAST RUNS, don't, go do your own damn groups and don't be a prick and ruin the huge amount of new player's experience.
When joining a random DF group you should NOT expect first timers to skip their story scenes, they're much more entitled to their first experience (they will only do it ONCE in their character's life time for f sake) than you are to your fast run.

Bleah, posts like this leave me in a bad mood.
