I agree they should never, EVER talk down or degrade you. However, they have a right to not wait for you and to kill all the enemies / bosses (while you're watching the scene) just as much as you do to watch the scenes.

If you don't like like continuing without you, you can simply find a group of people who want to enjoy all the cutscenes. But to get mad at them for not waiting for you works both ways.

Thats the biggest load of rubbish ive seen on the forums yet.

Speed runs should be pre made only you dont have the right to spoil the storyline for another player because you want to rush it and compleat as fast as you can

Thanks for telling all the speed run players how they should HAVE to play. If you read the post, I'm not saying people shouldn't view cutscenes. View them all you want. I'll just happily go with the other 6/7 members of the party and clear the trash and bosses while you do so.

or you could EASILY join a shout PUG for it and go with people who all have the same goal rather than ruin the fun of others just because you're lazy.

In an official post SE recognized the disconnect between people running the same dungeon with different goals. There is a problem here and one that SE has acknowledged.

No, it doesn't. YOU want to run the dungeon in a way it was not intended to be run. Therefore the burden is on YOU to form a premade group for your run. Not to mention there are probably more disgruntled 50's running around making it a lot easier for you to form a group outside of DF than it is for story runners...

The minute they made the end game dungeons the best available source of Tombs, they MADE it intended to be speed ran. And regardless of what you, me, or anyone else says, there will always be people who watch the cutscenes (which is fine), and those who finish the dungeon without them.

Blame game design for end game stories giving tombs.

Usually it's the case of 6 or 7 people wanting to speed run and 1-2 being new to it. It's more YOU wanting to slow the group down with your cutscenes.

And how do you know how it was intended to run? Are you one of the devs? Why do you think the option to skip cutscenes and rewatch every cutscene in the inn exists? Or are you trying to say a dungeon that is the most efficient way to get endgame gear, wasn't meant to be ran for endgear? It very well works both ways, no matter how hard you try to deny it.

Not splitting gear and story dungeons, or making it so that after finishing the story dungeon you unlock the gear version of said dungeon (Kinda like GW2 I suppose) was simply a dumb move by SE. Just look at it. You complete a dungeon ONCE for the storyline. You complete it OVER AND OVER for gear afterwards. Who do you think is the larger population in the DF? Firsttimers or people farming gear?

I was watching some youtube vids of various dungeons last night. There was this one, where the two dps were watching the cut scenes, but not the tank or healer. The tank pulled ... early ... in a long cut scene. LOL I give him and the healer credit, they survived for a bit before they got overwhelmed by the increasing adds. Happily, it was a formed group of friends and the two dps just laughed with them before they went on and finished the duty on the next try. A lot of folk would have been po'ed as all get out, but whatever. I don't let these things get to me when I'm personally involved. Ymmv.
