If you don't have Piety materia, and you start your string with Swiftcast Thunder III, then do your standard Fire -> Firestarter string until Blizzard III, you can get locked out of Thunder II and either have to Scathe/Blizzard I or wait a few seconds to recover MP.

I'm still confused. You do realize that T2 and T3 don't stack right? Using a swiftcast T3 followed by a T2 is a waste of a gcd.

I don't clip it or stack it. I never meant that I do it one after the other, merely that I use Thunder II at the end of the rotation. I'll make this even simpler since there seems to be confusion.

Without piety: Thunder III > Fire x Firestarter until almost out of MP > Blizzard III > Thunder I or Scathe or Blizzard I or wait until an MP regen tick occurs then do Thunder II
With piety: Thunder III > Fire x Firestarter until almost out of MP > Blizzard III > Thunder II with no pause whatsoever
