So how much DPS do you guys do on the dummies?

I do my best not to clip the DOTs because I've noticed that on dummies they don't actually always refresh (as in, you fire WB/VB, the shots hit but the timer on the DOT still shows the 'old' time).

Continuing with what I said about crit: a friend of mine who also plays Bard wears a mixture of Toxotes/DL (with a relic bow) vs my full DL; her crit rate is significantly higher than mine; when I look at her parses the one thing I almost always see is that her Straight Shot accounts for a larger portion of the total damage, which I can only assume is because of more Straighter Shot. That's why I asked for your parser skill breakdown.

I do not yet have BfB as my Lancer has been stuck at 27 for weeks now. It's hard to motivate oneself to level a class one does not intend to play, with the only benefit being a situation buff (meaning, I can't think of many fights where I would care to risk taking extra damage). On a dummy though I can see it being a nice DPS inrease.

Oh. Just noticed you said you have Toxotes pieces. You likely have around 30+ more crit than I do in my full DL; that would easily explain the difference.

Yeah Toxotes legs are definitely better but chest is bad (I am waiting for my FC crafter to get the HQ crafted lvl 70)

That probably is it, yes; I didn't even think about it until you mentioned it. Still, if you do another parse when you get a chance I'd like to see it, it's always good to compare notes.

First 30 second burst -336
After 1 minute- 281
After 5 minutes- stable at 250

Well BfB is a 5% increase in total dps so it doesn't account for the large difference between them. The discrepancy is probably more to do with the parser app than the actual dps.

On my Bard with relic and almost full DL except legs and gaunts:

First 30 second burst 360-370.
Between second buff cycle and first one around 230.
After second buff cycle around 250.
Average after 7 minutes: 234.5

Tested it 3 times so far due to BL procs.

Most recent parser isn't picking up Flaming Arrow damage.

Goes back to that whole "I'll trust a parser when SE lets us track all our damage" thing.

Most likely because Bards don't scale as well as other classes. In my opinion, Bards as it is right now are only "top dps" due to boss mechanics. Bards slightly lose some dps at max, while other classes, especially Monk and Dragoon, suffer heavy dps drops.

My Monk parses 210 dps with AF, trash accesoires and Garuda weapon on training dummy, while my Bard does slightly more without popping my CD's.
