what's the point of playing with players from the same nation anyway? as long as we speak the same language I never asked people where they came from before I join their party.

Masamune is a legacy though, so if you move there, you'd better accept the fact that you might not be able to move to other non-legacy worlds for a while.
Tonberry would be the way to go. If you'd like to join a FC, look us up at www.forgedseals.com! We're mostly all Australians.
I've been playing part-time on Tonberry, and have never had a reply when I ask is there any Aussies on at the time I am on (9pm-2am). Maybe I'm just unlucky that there are none in the area when I am on? Also the only language I've seen any shouts in is japanese.
So been wondering where all the Aussies are myself.
I'm not quite sure how you aren't aware of this, but it all has to do with peak times. Australian timezones are basically the opposite of US so it makes it hard for us to party with other english speaking players as they're normally asleep by the time most oceanic players come home from work. So we have to put effort into finding other english speaking oceanic players.
So am online on Tonberry at the moment and been asking yet again....had just 1 person answer, and they can't find any other Aussies either. So if there is a bunch on Tonberry you aren't very friendly.
I am on Goblin at the moment and considering moving to either Yojimbo or Zeromus and pretty much in the same boat...hoping to be able to meet up with English speaking players. I know of the amount of English speaking people are on Tonberry and Behemoth but have no interest in transferring to them as they are already quite busy.
On the Ping issues...I use Smooth Ping, it has been a must (was getting thrown off Titan platform every time) and made a huge difference.
This is why I chose to go on a EU server (Ragnarok) and I'm so glad I did. Peak time for me in the evening is around noon in the EU, and even at that time the servers are packed. Besides the odd French shout they're all English. When I was making Titan groups it was usually hard to find a quieter time when there weren't 2 or 3 Titan groups shouting already.
People kept telling me to go on JP servers because language didn't matter with the DF, well that was a load of crap because endgame you will want to organise server runs. For well geared Garuda/Titan farming groups with proper team compositions, for Hydra/Chimera, for speedruns of anything.
And yes, the latency is noticeably worse compared to JP without a tunnel, but when I use Pingzapper the difference is negligible for me. I tested it a lot. The VPN service made Titan so much easier on NA servers.
Of course the tunnel helps latency to the JP server a bit too, it has a Tokyo hop. But the point is the difference between VPN NA and JP servers is almost unnoticeable compared to the night and day difference between them without a tunnel (for me).
meh, this thread isnt about Yvonne Strahowski?![]()
Ein rotäugiger Kunde betritt dein Geschäft.
Halb Engel, halb Todesgott.
