Despite what people here are saying, I don't really see MMOs as hardcore games unless you're a bad player and put an overly excessive amount of time doing things good players can do in less than half the time.
That said, I'd consider myself casual because, like someone else said, I don't like wasting time. However, I do a lot of theorycrafting, planning, and research outside of the game to make sure that every time I spend in game, I am spending at my absolute maximum potential.
People have this misconception that casual = bad and hardcore = good so casual ends up having a bad name and people by default identify as hardcore gamers in an attempt to feel better. Games are no longer designed to be time sinks unless you're into korean mmos so I would say a majority of the players here are casual.
Personally speaking i wish games went back to being time sinks sorta speak. I miss having to take mnths to play a gane before beating it. Now it takes me 2 days to a week. (soo not worth $6o) only games now that last me mths are fall out and Elder scrolls just because there is TOO MUCH one can do.
