Right now, at this very moment, 11:08AM EST 10/10/2013 we have 49 players online in the PBC free company. Considering that it's early morning weekday in North America and we're way off of peak time for the majority of our active players I think that's very telling for just how active we really are.
Again, we're just hoping to bring this matter to the developer's attention because it's an issue that we, personally, have had that impacts our group's gameplay. If you haven't had the problem we're having, that's great. Just because you have a smaller free company doesn't mean that larger ones should never exist.
I disagree that it's pointless. It's nice to have one place everyone can get together and interact with each other and then form their own smaller parties or LS's to do the content they're interested in. Plus everyone gets the benefit of the company bank and actions.
It's fine that you have your preferences for FC size and you're well in your rights to do it how you want, but to turn around and claim that our way is "wrong" is kind of disingenuous.
You all need to get your crap together. I've had tons of really rude players asking me to let them in my ls/fc thinking I lead that disorganized mess.I'm the companymaster of Please Be Careful. I'd like to address some concerns.
- PBC does not have many inactive members. Approximately 480 of our 512 members have logged in at least once in the last week. We are regularly removing people who have been inactive for at least 7 days to move people from our overflow company into PBC. We regularly have around 200 members logged on at prime time.
- We do not recruit, and I regularly and consistently turn away potential applicants. PBC is the free company for a well-known, large gaming community, and the amount of interest from that community overwhelmed our initial organization efforts; we expected a couple hundred people at most.
- We are on Excalibur because we have many members who played on Figaro/Aegis in 1.0 and wanted to continue with their original characters. We also have FCs on Midgardsormr and Cactuar for people who didn't want to be on legacy servers, but Excalibur was the most popular option by far.
- We have many "raid linkshells" at various levels of progression which handle their own internal recruitment, scheduling and gear distribution; the FC is for pickup groups, leveling, crafting, asking questions and so forth. I don't demand raid content that can be done by my whole FC; I'd just like more member space because I've got a few hundred people who feel left out right now.
I have no idea what you're talking about. You're not even on the same server as us; how would you be getting people interested in an Excalibur FC bugging you about it on Balmung?
I'd like to see that FC wallet![]()
Because they don't even know what server you guys are on. Trust me, I know they're your people.
