I can read somewhat the major languages of the world, so i roughly know what they are talking about.I think it's more of a thing where people resort to a broken form of English like sms spk, 1337 5p34k or some other way to horridly deform the language.
Either way to resort to intentionally ruin a run because you're asked to speak proper English is indeed a tad extreme.
On the other hand you should also rephrase the question, I, as non-native English speaker, will not resort to proper language if the person asking me is not asking it properly themselves.
It is please, not pls.
And if you really want to be polite it is "Can you please speak English".
And i shorten it because i am a healer, i dont have time.
