The problem I think is that the greed/need/pass button needs to work like this:
(need) (greed) (pass)
{x} Always Greed if not needed {x} Always Pass if another player has selected Need

This leaves the players choice down to hitting Need or not.

At the dungeon exit there can be a loot trade option, in which one item can be traded for another dungeon drop item that has not been equipped.
