I appreciate any help I can get. If I'm doing something wrong, I like for people to let me know. For instance, I started a Pugilist not too long ago, and the tank in a group told me how some attacks on the side will do more damage than directly behind. I didn't know!

I just want them to be friendly about it. I can't stand people that get angry that my rotation or position is not perfectly ideal. Let me know and I'll see about fixing it. Just don't chew my head off. But whether level 20 or level 50, it's never too late to change.

But, I understand people's frustrations especially with this game if you're constantly coaching players on how to play their OWN classes. Whether someone's a dick or not I try see if their point makes any sense or if they're just trolling. I'll always take advice where I can get it. It definitely does make it harder though to take advice from an asshole, but sometimes you have to look past that.

I'm not going to lie. I've been frustrated running CM and having to constantly coach players through it. Or to have someone say they "know" what they're doing and totally botch things on Primals or dungeons. I personally think thats why some people are cranky. Under experienced players and repetitive grinding for tomes. Doesn't justify it, but gives some kind of explanation to it.

I usually don't bother with teaching DPS because it's normally not a HUGE issue though it does help quite a bit. I do however, try to teach every a tank how to play or be more "effective" if I can because yeah, if I don't, those paladins just don't know how to hold aggro. Usually the ones that are reasonable and listen don't mind listening to advice or they have the rotation pretty spot on anyways and just needed some fine tuning tips. The really bad ones are the one that never uses flash, mind their surrounding, and never ever uses their combos or read the chat at all.

Attitude is important, I'm always polite and calm about it, I don't yell at people. But some think-they-are-super-pro people just won't listen to any advice, even if you're just trying to help and they snap back at you or just leave the party. Thing is, if you did your job right, no one would have to talk in the first place.

I was using Ruin II + Energy Drain, and he thought I should be using Ruin I + Fester because he thought it did more damage.

    Ruin I (2.45 cast time + 2.45 recast, 80 potency) + Fester (300 max potency)
    You can cast 9 Ruins and 3 Festers every 60 seconds: (9 * 80) + (3 * 300) = 1620 total potency damage per 60 seconds.

Ruin II (instant + 2.45 recast, 80 potency) + Energy Drain (150 potency)
    You can cast 21 Ruin IIs and 3 Energy Drains every 60 seconds: (21 * 80) + (3 * 150) = 2130 total potency damage per 60 seconds.

A difference of 510 potency, or 32% more damage. This is not an insignificant amount.

So please, just let players play how they want. Just because they're not following the norm, doesn't mean they're bad players.
And this my friends is a great example of why we have so many bad summoners out there. Very nice example of WRONG, OP.

I watched an archer trying to tell a gladiator how to tank, this archer had only level 2 in gladiator themselves and claimed to 'know how to tank', it was highly amusing.

I had a ANC telling me how much I sucked and how the healer couldn't handle the run because I sucked... He had Cnj to 15 and tanks to 5... Meanwhile I was a War, using the gear I collected leveling Pld, in an instance I have run many times and had just a few hours before run without a tank because ours dropped.

There are many know-it-alls that don't know anything. My personal favorite is the "Don't fail/suck/be slow" people. Start out telling other people not to fail and then fail over and over.

Next time op, stop buying leveling service and actually learn to play your class. Seriously though, I love when people give me advice on rotation because it's either something I've already tried or something I've not thought of before and I'm a freaking tank.

Oh god if someone actually did pay for lvling services in this game they would have to be really easy to scam. "Would you like to buy this dehydrated bottle of water? It's for the starving obese children in America, and for the large quantities of lemur monkey's that live underneath my basement."
