Stop Buying Titan Kills

I disagree, mechanically and by strategy, I find Garuda to be significantly harder than Titan. The actual Titan Fight is a joke compared to other bosses in the game; it is not hard by any standard. There is no moving to boss to avoid things, there are no adds to kill, no special aspects of the fight whatsoever. Dodge a lane AoE, Dodge hotspots on the floor, and run from bombs that appear in 3 specific patterns that are easily recognizable, and keep everyone healed up. It's really that simple. Now people come up with all their reasons for why it's "hard" but the fact of the matter is that it's not. As a tank the fight is painfully boring, having to sit through 10+ minutes of LB farm/rotation just to get to the heart phase and then lack the dps to kill the heart. Or have people die before the heart phase, or maybe we get there and everyone wipes afterward from WoL or bombs or something. It's infuriating in its own right.

Theres 2 kinds of people buying runs imo. The people who know the fight, can kill it, and don't ever die from anything but cannot pass it simply because everyone else isn't up to standard. And then the bad people who need to get carried. I think once the gearlock comes out, so long as Titan is a requirement of average iLv65 or iLv70 then things will improve. It will at very least cut out all the of the poorly geared people just trying to get carried through it and get a quick relic. Then parties will be limited to people who at the very least have the HP and DPS potential to win, and buying a run shouldn't be so seen as the "only way to win" for many.

This is all that is wrong with the community... I remember when a healer joined on a titan run, and said "I'm on my second relic, was a tank, it's not that hard". He not only died just as much, he also missed read several times and killed the tank during mountain buster phase.

Not so easy on this side of the fence is it.

This is all that is wrong with the community... I remember when a healer joined on a titan run, and said "I'm on my second relic, was a tank, it's not that hard". He not only died just as much, he also missed read several times and killed the tank during mountain buster phase.

Not so easy on this side of the fence is it.

Thing is, he is kind of right (even if yes, once you know 'the spot' it's a boringly easy fight as tank). Done properly it doesn't throw massive damage at you like say Caduceus, nor is it a super tight DPS and execution test like the Elevator gauntlet. It simply boils down to learning Titan's entirely predictable pattern and being comfortable with doing your role well without getting flustered. An FC group did Titan HM in bikinis and I'm pretty certain that with our game faces on I could solo heal it.

Look at it this way....

Instead of failing in Duty Finder groups which pretty much has a 99% fail rate

You can pay to be in a group that has a 100% success rate.

I think you are a noob if you paid to win and....

1) You do not have above AF gear
2) You do not know the mechanics in and out
3) You have not at least tried 50 times with FC members or in DF

After all.... you can't buy skill. If you can't beat coil after Titan than you are forced to work on your skill. There is no DF for Coil and FC's don't want to carry people.

What do you guys think about that dynamic?

You're not even listening to what I'm saying.

Have you even read the different viewpoints in the thread up to this point? Some people make gil faster than they can attempting Titan runs. Some know how to do the fight regardless, but they do not want to deal with people who suck at doing the fight. Some even mentioned people don't have a problem Coil after Titan. What people do with their money is their business. Also what they care to do with their shiny relic after.

If you guys feel so bad about people buying runs, why not go do some charitable work and help others get their wins for free. If not, don't worry about it.

Or you can know:

1) Make friends that are good players.
2) Join a FC with good players.
3) Be a good player. (Other good players will find you this way.)
4) Make your own FC with good players.
5) Wait until one of the above is an option.

If you pay for a group and don't get carried and contribute to damage and don't stand in the AoE/LoS attacks then I'd say you rented help. Some people have plenty of gil and lack the patience to try the 50th (or more) fail because someone in the group cannot dodge anything to save their life. Also if you are any class with the exception of the WHM/SCH one could argue that in a way they carried you as it's the job that has the least wiggle room for failure.
