Where in this did those of us who say we run (I do stop once I notice people are around and I get healed) say that we don't do dungeons and don't upgrade gear? I think you are kinda adding words into our posts that are simply not there.the responses from archers only reinforces the preconceived stereotype people have of those that play the class
a combination of that level of mentality coupled together with the fate leveled 'never set foot in an instance, never changed or upgraded gear since level 15, oh, i only have this crafting gear, nothing else' assures my stance of never ever pugging

You DO understand that unless you are actually in my party, a moving target is way harder to target and heal than a stable target right?I run around if I start a FATE by myself and then don't stop till a healer heals me. I am assuming a lot of archers have the same mind set because honestly if they have hate they will die faster than someone can get hate off them (there may not even be a tank around at that particular time). I would suggest healers heal the archer a few times to see if he stops. If he doesn't stop then let him die. ^^
On a related note: This is not FFXI. The tank should be pulling mobs in nearly all situations, not the DD.
Well this is mainly talking about FATEs where really it is a free for all so that doesn't really have any relevance.

Either you have a terrible secret past, or you have more anger than XIV's endgame content.
There's no need to be angry...

i have the achievement for 300 dungeon runs and of those I've only ever met 1 bard worth his weight in pigsh..
The OP seems to not understand why Cancer starts chasing a BRD during that FATE. It's because all of the tanks have died and there is no one left to take the aggro. If I was that BRD I would be kiting for my life too, at least until a tank is ressed or runs back and uses his convenient Provoke skill to grab Cancer right off the kiting player and resume tanking him.
Amusing thread nonetheless.
