Please fix this SE. I want my behind back
I think their solution was really dumb. Instead of making everyone have flat butts they should have added a little more curvature to everyone's butts. Now no matter which race/sex you choose you are stared by a flat butt.
If they can implement bust sliders they can do the same for the glute/rear-end.
I picked the smallest bust size because it helps make the body shape as a whole look a little less deformed/top-heavy/butt-less.. (it would be nice to be able to actually use some of the larger bust slider options w/o making my character look so strange)
When I first made my 1.0 FFXIV character in September of 2010 I remember saying "wow mithra (FFXI version of the miqote) have boobs now! (this was before they added the bust slider) but absolutely no butt haha!" It was a problem in 1.0 and they made it worse in 2.0![]()

Female Hyur Midlander has a pretty nice rear end proportion but I think all the ass went to Female Hyur Highlander. Now that's some nice badonkadonk.

Okay, here's some RL images as an example.
1.0 Miquo'te:
2.0 Miquo'te:
Sorry for the "shocking" images, but the fact is the "new" Miquo'te just looks "wrong". Yes, I am being picky. No, I was not a 1.0 player. I just care about how my characters look. I want them attractive. To be honest, the explanation the Devs stated for the model changes seems quite "hollow". They should not have a PC client bottlenecked by the capabilities of the PS3. Especially with the PS4 coming out.
The PS4 should be the game changer. Two separate clients should be available. PS3 and a PS4/PC version. They can keep the crappy models and lack of graphical goodies in the PS3 client and allow the PS4/PC clients have all the nice bells and whistles. Including the smoother, more shapely models. (Male and Female included)

I'm just baffled by the number of Miqo'te players that can't seem to spell their own race's name.
I swear every time there's an arbitrary U thrown in, I read it as "misquote"... which is actually somewhat fitting.
Ive been thinking about the same. I just remember (perhaps wrongly) that they said PS3 and PC used different clients. Which means that it should be very easy to make a change to one of them without affecting the other (nullifying the repeated 'ps3 limitations' explanation used for... everything), unless of course theyre just being lazy with the updates and using the exact same base files for both.Sorry for the "shocking" images, but the fact is the "new" Miquo'te just looks "wrong". They could also take care of the 'no /visor for hoods' thing decently easily. Make an item that equips to multiple slots produce a 'fake' item that actually equips to that location (So Cowls would create a stat-less Hood item). Cut apart the current model, and use part of it as the model for the fake item that is created by the dual-slot item. This would allow the game to see an item in that location, and have it be usable accordingly. They would also have to either make it so that unequipping the fake item unequips both, or make it so the fake item is locked, and can only be removed by taking off the item that actually exists.

*laughs* Yes yes, you are quite right.
I can't spell any of the new race names right, to be honest. I still think of them as Hume, Elvaan, Taru, Mithra, and Galka. :3

Why do people treat averagely thin women as if they are anorexic these days?
Don't you people watch anime? Japanese moe characters are all thin and cute now. Only the terrible fan service shows have Tera art.
Because, contrary to popular belief, no one wants skinny girls.
