Please do not lock Jobs to the Weapon Class that unlocks them.

They use Poles which in ffxi was called staff but not that not point how can you call yourself a monk if you using a ward? or a pole arm? using a title system is a lazy way of doing it because they don't want to remake the class system and turn them into more of a job system.


i guess i'll wait for release and see how it is maybe it good maybe is lame like am thinking. Pretty much if i unlock monk right now and my pug is 50 my monk would be 50 which they pretty much did noting but give me a nice cute title saying you now a monk if they do give you spell,ws,ja for monk you have 50 level of learning to do.

I would prefer a leveling system for the jobs, but I know most people on here wouldn't like it, because it's more grinding.

Like it hard to grind in the start with -.- dam casual players they pretty much made a dumb job system where you just are now Monk and lock to only using monk type spell,ws,ja. If they made it more like ffxi but made it so

Level up PUG to 30 you allow to unlock Monk or THF or you can just go on level up PUG.

If you unlock monk you start from level 1 with your own spell,ja,ws and you can't hybrid.

The better idea was to delete the full Class system and add jobs not even wow have hybrid anymore they limit it so much that you can only put a few spell from the other tree now unlock before.

@Cairdeas making it so pretty much only sword can be PLD? that not a very good system i don't even know why you want that -.- oh god cairdeas from all the years i know you from eorzea you do have weird ideas and not to be rude there pretty much dumb.

If that how they going to do it then FFXIV have no hope.

simple fact that every character in every ff game has melee attacks and magic attacks. And actually The blu in both ff8 and ff9 were pretty good if you leveled them. And ffxi blu was pretty nice.

Hey, don't blame casuals, I'm consider myself casual but I don't mind taking the time to do things. As long as the battle system stays fast paced, and we keep leves, guild tasks, and behests, getting SP shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I prefer the class/job system, that way the soloers and partiers are happy.

I call myself casual and i play 15+hours -.- that not the point

If let's say i do become a monk and am the same level as Pug and i have to use the same gear as pug they pretty much did noting. Am still not a real pug now if they add ws,ja,spell that only Monk can use then ok that sound great too me

I see your concern, but we have no idea how it's going to work out just yet, so all we can do right now is wait. But here are a few quotes that may calm you down or give you an idea of how it's going to work:

I think i like it just the idea of not really being level 1 again while level up Monk if it like that then i love it if not then i guess it be boring because most ppl right now have 50 on lot's of job unlocking a title that give you spell of it own is not really fun if all you can do is dungeon sure it give me the role i want and AF but there no more leveling the point of a mmo is to level up at least that how i feel when playing FFXI. When playing wow it was more about getting to max and doing raids all day and getting gear it was not really about how you got there it just when you get there.

FFXI give you a road and lot's of thing to do while you level wow is more about oh level 1-85 and now you can do raids and all you do is dungeon dungeon dungeon. then if you want to level something new you have to make a new char and it was just getting very quick to the end not about how great it was to get there and building your class that what want in ffxiv more of a journey to get max.

actly its more like u unlock monk then because there ment for party related u wont be able to cross over other class abilitys and there for making it party only but then if u wanted to solo u would just switch to pug..
