Not necessarily true, knowing SE, they expected people mostly to farm Primals and AK for the two tomes, the 200 for finishing the story was basically "welcome to end-game currency." It's the players who decided to turn these two in the toxic playground.
This is a case of some part of the group having differing goals than each other.
If you use DF you will probably be thrown into a group with some first timers and some speedrun people. I say watch your CS as they happen as it is much more enjoyable that way. Most speedrun groups I have been a part of have been premade by shouting.
This could mostly be solved if they would just give us checkboxes in the DF screen saying [ ]storyline [ ]speedrun and you can check one or both if you don't care wich. If it turns out to be a speedrun party then don't even show us the cutscenes.
not our fault, we're intelligent players and do it the easiest and fastest way possible
I'd debate the intelligence part though since a lot seem to forget CM/PT are storyline dungeons and people will want to enjoy the story ;p If you do Wanderer's Palace and AK with the setups people are expecting for CM/PT you'd clear them pretty quick as well you just aren't guaranteed 100 each time, I assume the only reason people don't spam WP is because of 4 man requirement but will AK cuz it's the only high return on Myth. Otherwise SE did give us numerous ways and more than likely expected people to do those rather than spam the two storyline dungeons.
So we're definitely going to see a change and as usual the community will react in the worst possible way when said change come. :\
I prefer if people would skip cutscenes, but I don't say anything if they don't either. I just quietly mind my own damn business because there are two very different sides to dungeons: speed runs vs. story mode, and neither side is the "only" way to be, nor is one side "more correct" than the other. If you're using DF, you could easily run into both groups of people in the same party, and quite frankly any player worth being in a group with is going to understand.
There is one exception, however: If we're running short on time, I do expect you to get your rear out of the cutscene. I've had this issue before, and there is absolutely no excuse for twiddling your thumbs in a bloody cutscene if time is running out. Suck it up and watch it later for the sake of actually completing the run. This is for your own benefit as well as everyone else's.
No leeching, No PL'ing, just 100% playing the game.
This is just one example of how End Game is and is why I am considering leaving Hyperion when transfers are enabled but is there a server to go to where Elitist crap is at a minimum ? Preferably EU but any will do. I know this happens in every game but on Hyperion it's the norm not the exception.Read a strategy for Castrum Meridianum (I figure I would try to minimize my burden on the party). The dungeon starts and right away I'm being belittled for watching the cutscene. Its go go go go, rush rush rush rush, while being called every name in the book.
A few people even dropped from the dungeon because I was watching a 30 second cutscene.... Keep in mind this was a duty finder group.
The fights I did manage to not get locked out of I was able to survive the fight no problem.
I've played many MMOs, but this is by far the most toxic endgame community
For realz man, the game makes you treat other players like something less than human! I'm not responsible for how I respond to a game's design, man, it's their fault. We come behind you and slit your throat while you sleep. All jokes asides. We have run this over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and mother effing over. We don't have time to deal with noobies... You can surely understand why we're pissed. You probably even skipped over me saying over... That's exactly it!
Don't hate the player... Hate the game. They made it like this, not us
Yeah...

Talking about it filtering down into lower level dungeons as well. I was lvl 47 but needed Sunken Temple of Qarn for my GC hunting log. Before the 1st boss I wrote one line to make sure we were on the same page strategy wise and the other Dps wrote back Yes we know this dungeon thanks lol. I said well just making sure because no-one is communicating here. He went on to die within the 1st few seconds of the 1st boss. The other two players didn't speak a word the entire time and on the 1st boss alone we wiped around 7 times. I could have called him all the names under the sun for being so arrogant in chat and then so useless as a player, we were both Bards and I had no problems at all but I'm not a Dick like that. I just think it's so much the norm for these players environment they can't function without sarcasm or a bad attitude.
