Teleporting/Botting Has taken over this game.

New twist: botters are mass producing new characters and teleport-questing the newbie quests.

Proof: happening right now in Pandaemonium Ul'dah. I noticed them in the Gladiator guild and I've been standing here for 20 minutes, they just teleport in one by one, hand in the quest and teleport out. Endless stream of the same character model with randomized names.

Also I'm recording this right now, but I don't know how to encode this so dunno when or in what way I should make this video available. If you want a quick glimpse of this, come create a new character at Pandaemonium and visit the Ul'dah gladiator guild.

I will edit this post when I leave/when they stop.

Hey there. This same exact thing was happening during the weekend on Lamia too. I reported about 6-7 character names in one support desk submission - but I realised while making it, they were not the same characters. They were all brand new. All lvl 1 gladiators, hyur males, and all identical in appearance. They materialised, turned to talk to the Josias NPC, then vanished again. I sat there watching for 15 mins.

At first I started filling in a report, then in that first 30 seconds I notices five more bots pop in, and I didn't get their names. Then it hit me that it's impractical to report these names, because they don't stop. I could sit there 24 hours and new names will keep popping up. So I recorded the thing instead.

Japanese forum mods have responded to my post over there and said they're aware of this and will be making backend changes to stop this. I guess the video did serve its purpose.

Thank you. I'm glad that someone did as much as you did and bothered to translate it to our side also. It seems like the SE presence in the English side of the forums is too understaffed at most times to deal with these situations.
