To be fair though we can't discount some kind of gil check. They could have done the check 2 weeks or 10 days after launch, and waited to ban. For the first 2 weeks I never had more than 100k on hand. The few who had low gil could have been nailed for different reasons, or they could be cheaters. We can be sure though it wasn't a gil check at the time of suspension or within a few days of it.
They did do a Gil check and got to the number of 367,700 million dirty Gil. And the important part there is the word million i.e 367700000000 gil earned in a shadowy way. I just think this is hinestly a backlash for the greedy people. And these people need to understand that what was done by SE had to be done, they couldnt leave the market with thise 367,700mil gil. So those that had stuff bought by goldbuyers/botter/hackers got hit. I'm also quite sure some of the people that are still around in gear they bought might have bought it for honest gil, hence why they still run around in it and those earnings might be what SE left you with but took the rest.

I'm not saying it's fully your own fault as sellers, but people tend to be quite greedy when it comes to earning as much as they possibly can, and getting blinded in the process regarding what is a reasonable price and not. And this cant really be denied by the people that started out as hardcore crafters to earn a foundation.
