gametime for many expires tomorrow is it really worth subbing?

Time to filter out the frustrated trash, and stay and play with people that actually care and enjoy the game, tomorrow will be glorious.

I do not mean this as a personal attack, but does this mean you will be leaving tomorrow? Because the game needs far less people whose first response is to call others trash, drive off people who may care about the game. It needs more people who will be considerate of others, help the community grow, and not tell people to get off the game.

Sure its a hot topic..but why not keep the discussion in a thread or two..the point is why and the hell does everyone feel the need to start a new thread and ask "SO DO YOU THINK ITS WORTH SUBBING?!?!?! **Insert why this person either does or does not want to SUB**

I haven't managed to hit level on my Marauder yet, not sure whether I will subscribe or not. I really enjoy the game and have a very casual approach to it, so a lack of content is a not a problem for me. I do however think that us europeans are being treated wrong @ the laggy servers.

This is just a guess but i'd imagine its the same reason you feel the need to comment in each one, you can just read the title and say meh "another one" and leave it at that but no you are the one that chose to click the link and then go ahead and add a comment i wonder why you go out your way to get your opinion across oh maybe its teh same reason why i wanted to make this thread especially since we have all heard forum police comments before

It is my opinion that these similar discussions should remain in other threads that are about the same topic..you know normal forum etiquette. You are the one who drug this off topic by trying to police the thread.

Perhaps it's because people are more likely to read new topics than posts hidden in an onslaught of white-knighting, completely blurring the lines between valid posts and trolling, causing meaningful posts to be ignored altogether. Hey, it got your attention didn't it?

well, considering most of the players only does DOW/DOM jobs, farms for tomes 24/7, and calls that endgame, i dont find it odd so many are getting bored. Have you ever tried crafting? Gathering? Sidequests? Fishing? Helping lower level people? Social aspect? Role Playing? Grinding for gil? Playing the market?

Crafting isn't too bad, but gathering is extremely monotonous and boring. Fishing is boring just like in any other MMO. Sit there patiently, wait for a sound, then press a button. So innovative. Sidequests? What's the point when you're 50? That seems to be what you were implying. He could level alternate jobs, but leveling alternate jobs without all the side quests or the main story quests is a horrendous and boring grind.

He should stop to help lower level people? Help them do what, exactly? There's nothing challenging from 1-50. What help would they need exactly? Crafted items? They're horrible and a complete waste of time. Social aspect? Yeah it can be helpful, but it's not going to make a bad game fun. Role playing? Not everyone enjoys role playing, in fact I'd go as far to say that most of the MMO audience doesn't role play. Grinding for gil? In what way? That leads right back to gathering and crafting. Some may not find that fun. Playing the market? Why, so I can be banned later for no reason?

People who have problems finding the endgame boring with their DoW/DoM jobs have every right to be upset. There is another side to MMOs, but some people don't like it. That's why there are OPTIONS. There's supposed to be something for everyone. Unfortunately, the DoW and DoM endgame is one of the worst endgames I've seen in a long time.

Don't think il will subscribe, at least for now.
Reasons:

- Primary issue: Lag and terrible netcode. Endgame is pratically unplayable for me.
- Primary issue: Every instance should be on Duty Finder, including Chimera, Hydra and Coil.
- Primary issue: Fate farming is TERRIBLE and it's our only option to level jobs after the first one, due to lack of quests and bad xp on dungeons and levequests.
- Secondary issue: Some QoL stuff that really annoy me (especially the chocobo issues).
- Secondary issue: Crafting is pretty cool, but NOT when you have to process tons of raw materials. It takes WAY too much time and effort, and quick synthesis (which is not that quick anyway) is not an option due to really low XP gain.

I'll probably try out the 2.1 patch if I don't start playing something else in the meantime... not sure. But I'm not subbing for now.


@Dorfentyme: I hate gathering, it's really boring and very annoying... but fishing, in this game, is really amazing. I love it.

Mine comes up in 5 days, apparently. But I am not so sure no more....1-50 on my first class/job was really good and I enjoyed it but once I hit 50, that's when the game became a chore. I have done majority of the quests, all of the instances, decked one job in full DL and bought enough for BLM too, and even gotten one relic so far. But now all there is to do is run AK since there does not seem to be any nice FCs on my server that also runs Coil...not that I want to run it since the obvious stepping stone that is Crystal Keep is no where to be seen....I personally will not fall for that 'pay now and we will patch and make it better soon! (tm). We promise!!' tag line no more...I have fallen for this this dozens of times before already....

I am leveling an alt now but that fate grind, wow is that mind numbingly boring as heck; it's no wonder I meet people who have no idea how to play a class since I am guilty of that as well with BLM...I have literally just spammed scathe/ice II to hit lvl 40 since that is about the only way to actually get credit since those event mobs are dead in less than a second.

Any rate, 2.1 might fix my boredom with things that should have been in at launch...but that's quite a bit of time from now which means...run AK...over and over and over and....zzzZZzzzzz.

Fans almost always make the same excuses and love it when people leave...but suddenly when the game becomes a ghost town, they wonder why....
