Just wanted to note here. If I'm not mistaken, before Yoshi-P took over, they said there would be no official forums because it would not be possible to maintain due to complications of managing forums for the different languages of the player base, or something along those lines.

I think you're correct, but it's not like our opinions here matter anyway. We might as well be shouting at a brick wall for what it's worth.

ROFL dude we haven't even gotten 1.18 yet how can you say it will or it will not... we don't even know contents of patch 1.18 or 1.19 just that it will have a dungeon, battle system changes, and grand company things, I am sure there is more to these patches than those 3 things. Of course time will tell but again, you are further proving that you are full of it as well... LOL!!!!! get a hold of yourself and wait till you see what they have in store for 1.18 and 1.19 before you start saying this crap.... Also apparently you are forgetting the fact that Tanaka is still helping Yoshi with the FFXIV construction HE IS JUST NOT THE PRODUCER... he is more of an advisor at this point....

Am saying if Tanaka and yoshi both work on the game and had more team members from FFXI working on ffxiv this game would have been better. Btw tanaka is working on FFXI as the Producer from the look of it in the forums he is now the ffxi producer again so i don't think he working in FFXIV floor anymore.

i'm starting to wonder if the forums were actually a good idea. granted we have quite a few good ideas tossed in here and there, but almost every post turns into a flame fest in which nothing can get accomplished. how is anyone supposed to get any idea of what anyone wants when 50% of the posts are either arguments or one side telling the other side to quit the game?

i'm starting to wonder if the forums were actually a good idea. granted we have quite a few good ideas tossed in here and there, but almost every post turns into a flame fest in which nothing can get accomplished. how is anyone supposed to get any idea of what anyone wants when 50% of the posts are either arguments or one side telling the other side to quit the game?

Elaborating on the standard "iTz Da Int3|2wEbZ" comment people like to throw around, aside from the anonymity forums grant that is obviously abused on any forum you go to, there just doesn't seem to be enough respect and common courtesy to go around. It's much easier to respond to someone with crude and otherwise abusive language than something that takes a little bit of thought, and since nobody knows who's who, nobody seems to care how they present themselves. Although I do appreciate the better well constructed posts that do present themselves from time to time.

Wait until you see a REAL message board :X This is actually one of the more peaceful forums I've been on.

Regardless, the forums were an excellent idea. It's better to have the gamers' input on the game rather than not have them, even if the input does come with a lot of trash and harsh wording.
