I dont think anyone doubts that the material cost will be adjusted at some point in the future. But will the change be implemented before the items are obsolete? Probably not.
Whether it was oversight or intentional, the design here is extremely nonsensical. The across the board inconsistency in material costs doesn't make sense to any reasonable person. The armorer crafted tank chest and leggings both cover 2 slots, yet both cost 9 tome items. These are actually cheaper than darklight, but the Vanya pants, which covers a single slot, costs an impractical 27, or 600% more than the darklight counterpart. Theres no logic in this, and the balance is way off.
The feedback is just to say that either something is very wrong here and it needs to be addressed, or there's some design decision that is simply incomprehensible and requires explanation. I hope it gets addressed soon, and I hope future tiers of recipes aren't subject to the same thing.

"Petition to be able to dye unique items" will get a response before this thread will.
And if it does it's more likely to be something like the one they posted in:
"Stat Potion CDs need some addressing please." aka "POS as intended".

well, one positive thing with the price:
I saw a guy with full penta-melded HQ ilvl 70 gryphonskin + accesories set earlier, reported him of course, as 100M+ gil is pretty much impossible to get on nonlegacy servers.

In all fairness, acquiring HQ mats for lv 70 gear is costly, (you need very high perception, and even then the HQ rate is 1%, unless you have 600+ GP, it will never get above 11%) Getting a sufficiently high crafting/control skill to even craft the gear is also pricy, not only in materials, but crafting gear, and the inevitable materia melds needed.

This has nothing to do with the cost of the gathered mats, which are peanuts in comparison.
