I pug'd Titan twice. Once for myself, once for a friend. It just comes down to including people in your group who: 1. Have the entire fight memorized 2. Are geared

If you let any joe wearing half an AK set into your Titan group you're bound to run into issues. What I did was quiz people who wanted to join my group. Ask them "During heart phase, when does titan cast weight of the land" or "When Titan drops bombs in 3 rows in the final phase, which row explodes first?" if they cant answer you in 15 seconds, don't invite them.

Get people who know the fight, get people who have sufficient gear, get Titan done.

I've successfully done Titan a few times, first for myself, then for a few friends. It was always with "a PUG" in that it was people I picked up in Revenant's Toll. How did I make it work? It's insanely simple, really.

1. Gear check, make sure people wanting in have a fair chunk of their DL gear.
2. Brain check, ask them to summarize how to avoid aoe in the last phase.

That's really it. You just need to pick up people who put effort into their gear AND who are able to put in their own words how to avoid Weight of the Land and Bomb Rocks. Seriously, it's not hard, I'll even cheat sheet you the answer they should be giving (more or less): "Move to the set of rocks that spawned last, but wait for landslide, and start moving before he casts the pools."

Your tank doesn't really need to know point 2, though, so much as know when to cycle cooldowns for Mountain Buster.

Why is #2 necessary? Because a LOT of people will lie about knowing the entire fight. Most people will have SEEN the fight, but won't have LEARNED it. There is a big difference between "I wiped 20 times on Titan and got to the last phase every time but I keep dying to bombs or pools" and "I know how to avoid the bombs and pools". When someone shouts for people to "know the fight" or "have seen the entire fight" then you can expect people to think getting to the last phase is the same as knowing it.

Screen them. It's not hard.

And while I'll agree my method is kinda thorough, it got the job done several times. It might be harsh, but if you're THAT desperate to get your Titan done you might as well try for a group that isn't going to fail.

I did Titan with a pug the first time, I was in AF with some AK gear and a Garuda weapon. Took about 5 tries but, I had a good feeling when we got him to 30% our first try.
Make your own group, cherry pick people if you have to. The second time I killed him it was with people I know +2 pug dps, we told them "die before heart is down = kick" and they lived to that point.
After the heart it's just not getting hit and having good heals.

Honestly u do not need full darklight for titan. Specially when a few piece are barely better than the ak counter part, having a few piece are usually good enough. Althrough as dps, I would really recommend Garuda or moogle weapon. Bring full AF and Gc weapon are a big no in my book.

I'm getting frustrated with the fight as well. I've already beaten Titan four times. On my fifth relic now, and its been 5 days and i dont know how many attempts with PUGs (not DF groups) shouts in mor dhona. I maybe get hit by one weight or bomb every 10-20 runs but no matter what something always happens and we wipe. most the time its 1-2 people who just cannot stay alive, or in the case of a lot of the runs the 1 player is a healer which is a wipe when you only have 2 healers.

Putting things in place.. Titan HM is not that hard. If the whole problem was battle difficulty.
The real problem is HOW UNFAIR is that you give your 110% throughout all the process just to realyze that what prevents you from winning is not in your hands.
This goes beyond reaction rate, how hardcore one is, hoy skilled you are or how much attention you pay.
Let's accept for a damn time that Weight of the Land is UNAVOIDABLE FOR SOME PLAYERS.
Let's accept that that if it lasts 0,5sec more than the time needed to leave the center of the circle, for some players lasts ONE second less.

Weight of the Land is an INCREDIBLY PREDICTABLE ABILITY. Titan's rotation is FIXED. It doesn't change, ever. It is the same, every time. You can predict Weight of the Land and start moving a bit early.
