I don't see parse, that fine, by your number he did about 200dps during the fight. don't know what weapon he used, in general 200 to 230 DPS is pretty normal to monk. But some DPS job claim they can do over 300 DPS. Question is when uber vs über, who is even über.
If you watch other poster from other DPS, they are hard to agree monk is on the top. If monk are real good, you will see many group run two monks for hard fight in video. But that is not the case at moment. no group looking for more than 1 melee DPS if they can find 3 ranged DPS.

Who claims they do 300 DPS in an actual fight and not just on a practice dummy that isn't a Summoner who's using the broken parser to buff his numbers? I'll call them a liar to their face if they are not in full ilvl 90 gear. I'll bet my bottom dollar that they don't have any proof either. They just say, "Oh, I do 300 DPS!" and you believe them?

200-230 DPS is pretty normal for ALL DPS. There is a balance. DPS is not the issue when there is a balance. When there is a balanced DPS, it'll be unbalanced in other areas. This is why Bard is taking a lot of flak right now not because of their "super" DPS, but because on top of their DPS, they bring highly valued utility that melee cannot provide. If any group brings 2 good Monks to a hard fight, they will do just as well as if they brought 2 more good ranged. The DPS will never be that far apart.

Again, DPS is not the issue. The issue is the skill ceiling as well as utility.

but you saw a monk doing 290 dps on dummy...a bard would never reach 290 no matters how hard he try on dummy(a long test...not silly 20 sec buff burst -_-).

Im sorry but compare dummy dmgs means nothing since any class can do its rotation perfectly, with will barely happen in most hard fights... if ur monk can do this 290 dps on titan or coil them it would be a fair comparison. plus i don't get all the discussion, who cares if monk dps is low on raid, etc... its still more them enough for u to take him with u without the battle prolong a substantial amount, wait till pvp come to rly worry about this.

Thats because melee is harder than ranged. Most groups (pugs) want to take something reliable and easy (ranged) but want 1 melee for the ST limit break. Honestly tho, you are just ignorant. Go watch the video, find the parse, do the math, and post it all here for us to show you where you failed. Don't say you already did... your claiming a LB of 11k increased his DPS by 100... your wrong.
