I only have three classes at 50, the Gridanian classes. I guess you could say I was 'RPing before it was RPing' in that I refuse to make a decent go at any of the non-Gridanian classes, be it War, Magic, Land or Hand. I was putting off on the Land and Hand till 2.0, though, as the systems in 1.0 for those were terrible. So, that said, I've been using the story quests to level botany and slowly working up carpentry and leatherworking. And I'm a 1.0 player. Heck, I had 300,000 gil at the end of 1.0. With the 2.0 tax on all Legacy players that netted me a whopping 30,000 gil into release. I only just got up to 400,000 recently!

But enough about me. I'm nice and helpful whenever I can be as long as I know anything on the matter at hand. Being a veteran of XI I remember what a good community could be like and I'd like to see this come such a community. Sadly, as much as this does generalize, all those players we're inheriting from the multitude of the more contemporary MMOs is instilling a taint. You see it every time someone argues about people needing to be super geared just to run an instance that everyone doing said content needs to complete. Or the people in the dungeons complaining about wiping at the top of the keyboard's 'lungs'. It's terrible and confusing.
