    soooo this Legacy servers

this is not a rant, this is not a "i want this now" arguement, this is just some observations made by a legacy player since launch of 1.0( that join date to the left, thats when i first joined the forums ).

when did legacy players became a minority now in legacy servers?
Have anyone else notice the mindset of how legacy players play differs to how non legacy players play?
i remember when SE added new servers "dont let legacy player join non legacy players!!!". Was it because they are afraid of legacy elitism/rich/ or all fifties?
Look at it now, your in a legacy server, and the server is tainted with people with all this kind of attitude that rarely existed in 1.0. Correct me if im wrong with any of my observation, by all means.

But if there are people going to agree, would it be nice if SE made a dedicated "true legacy" server only? where only players with legacy conditions can be at?

i would correct myself this one though, i said rarely existed in 1.0 based on my observation of how random parties back then to now, or so you all like to call PUGS. one thing i could say as a reason to why this is happening is back then there was not alot of players to do things with compare to now where "this party sucks, /leave, next party"

or like back then "yes, finally found a group, must work hard to win this" to compare now "man...if this doesnt win ill leave after the 3rd run"

This is what SE wanted and no I don't recall any of this in 1.0.

did you ever experience that you feel like you have partied with everyone in the server already? like either be such epic events that you happen to be a Armorer you stumble upon a leather worker, you worked together to make a high quality tricorn. Or maybe you stumbled upon that same guy and help his linkshell out of kindness and people began forming a "community". it got nice to a point you know where if someone ask you, "you know this person?" and you will say "yes, as a matter of fact you can find him in this linkshell/group "

    It goes both ways.

As a new player in 2.0 on a legacy server I feel like everything I have accomplished has been marginalized to a huge degree. I've got 3 crafting classes at 50 and almost all the 15 abilities but this doesn't make me a good crafter here. Quite the contrary, I pale in comparison to the huge number of people who were 50 with every DoH class before 2.0 even went live.

Also it certainly doesn't help having a significant portion of the server look at me like a diseased leper because I'm not legacy.

Well, there's no real way of knowing the ratio of legacy to non-legacy on legacy servers. I will agree the community was 10x nicer before but that's because a) the server was more close-knit due to the smaller population and no inter-server functionality and b) reputation mattered; if you were crap, or worse, a dick you would find fewer people willing to do stuff with you.

Yoshi P wanted a modern mmo? Well that comes with modern mmo attitudes and communities.

i certainly believe you Nenin, which is why i am kinda selective with the friends i play with, my fc is a social FC. I dont like people who look down on other people, but i do help those who work hard. I am against Botting ( and if i found out your botting, i wont bother helping you anymore ). At launch, when new DoH were asking for helps, i would give as much help i can give with out giving them the sense of "carrying", like give them thought of were to farm matts, or just give them free full stack of Aldgoat leather to grind their LTW.

just last night, cause im just bored, after mining in in coartheas, i saw this chimera party shout looking for a whm to make full party. I just helped them just because of no reasons. There are alot of good new players as well out there, but some of those good players are being influence by bad players which make them think "its a norm" to be bad.

what i believe is that you just help people and be kind and hope they be nice to other people as well. I cannot force them to always be nice and volunteer because just like me, we have personal goals ( like finishing this class 50 quest for culinarian that i have been pushing aside >.> ). everytime i help someone i do my best to say "enjoy the game guys" or when i do Pugs with new people i would defenetly try to be "chatty" as an ice breaker to give everyone a sense of openess that they can give their inputs onto the game itself.
