I say the same thing everytime I see a player with a atrocious avatar like yours. Its not the gear making you look like a clown its you.

Aside from AK sets I don't agree at all and I am so so so happy they put their time into other things than the vanity system for 2.1. It is coming which is good, but this game needs a lot of other things so much more urgently so good choice by SE to not have the vanity system be a focus right now, like they said in the other thread.

I honestly hate the idea of vanity slots simply because I fear people will use it to mask their real gear more than they use it just for looks. Hopefully there will be a client side option to not display vanity gear so that you can tell at a glance what someone is really wearing.

Because right click -> Examine is too hard?

Wow you are absolutely right. This clown suit, which is the BiS for my character at this point in his dungeon runs, must actually look fabulous and it's really my own fault for not being able to appreciate how amazing it looks like you can.

You have impeccable taste in video game armor, sir. Glad to know you think THIS looks fantastic.

Here's the problem: most gear look good on females, but not so on males - if you are a highlander hyur or rog it's probably even worse with the exception of only a few classes (pld af, war af, mnk af etc).

Except when they want to sexualize the armor, like the DRG AF, that looks horrible (or more like stupid ) on females.

My favorite looking gear in the game so far is the battlemage gear, I think it looks better than the BLM AF gear by far.

Try using the "insert image" button and paste the picture pink in and get rid of the [IMG] at the start and end.

WHM AF is way too Mrs. Claus. Darklight just plain fugly on everyone (BLM is the least craptacular and it's still meh).

I'm probably alone in loving the bard AF, I'm eventually going to level bard solely for running around it.

Anyway, opinions! And yes to vanity tabs! ♥
