If you're using DF for your runs, deal with it.
Otherwise, make your own static.

I will let people know if I am running something for the first time, but I sure as hell won't skip cutscenes for you.

I have crafts and gathering classes to entertain me, so I have no problem requeueing if you are that whiny little baby that is not patient enough to wait for someone doing something for the first time and wanting to watch the cutscenes.

What I would do is ask people politely to watch cutscenes in the inn because most people here would like to finish as fast as possible because they have to run it numerous times. On my first CM run i got flamend and shouted at because I watched the cutscenes, at that time I had no idea people were farming CM. If someone would have been nice to me and explained it to me I would have skipped it. Nobody took the time to do that so I watched all the cutscenens and got so much hate for it but i didnt care

Once you start the End game content for yourself you will realise why people are not happy with waiting.

After a tens of hours grinding same content and after viewing/waiting for people to complete the cut scene for the 10th or more time, you will start to get unhappy too.

It is how they deal with it that shows their maturity levels. Same as how you deal with such people.

Both their insulting you and the posting it here in the forum, does not show great maturity levels.

I would say "Deal with it and ignore such people" but seems like this phrase is taboo now adays.

Oh well as I am not in USA and thus cannot get sued, let me say, till the world changes and everything is fair "Deal with it" and tell them nicely to "stick it where the sun no shines".

That is not how the game is intended to be played. Any of the Legacy players would tell you this and the simple fact we are harassing players who wish to experience the story in this is terrible by all accounts.

See i have a problem with that. I join a dungeon where im a part of a GROUP and if the group decides sure you can watch the cutscenes i will watch them if not ill just watch them at the Inn. Ill lose nothing and save myself a headache of arguing with someone which ultimately will make me lose my time and theirs.

The way endgame is designed you need to run dungeons in order to get bloody Darklight at least 50 times and you act surprised nobody almost wants to spend 10 minutes extra each time someone wants to watch cutscenes.
By trying to force Your way through over others youre as much part of a problem you describe more than youd even like to admit.

Having to skip the cutscenes on my first run through CM and Prae really killed the mood. I mean I barely knew what was going on as we went from trash mob to boss to another boss. I accepted it was the standard and went along with it at the time. But when my FC decided to run Prae together a while later and I can honestly say being able to watch stuff before the fights really lends the battles context and fills the world out. Even having done the fights before, I found them more enjoyable with the buildups to them in comparison to the 'SKIP, PULL, MASH BUTTONS, KILL, REPEAT' of the first run, especially in regards to Prae due to the characters involved in it. CM not so much since only Livia was involved and most cutscenes were about 'switching lights off/introducing generic boss no-1/Hey a Gunship is Shooting', but that is a FF staple in any case.

As to the gear demand, I can understand the growing mentality. Compared to WoW dungeons at 50 can be challenging, and having proper gear makes them easier. Demon Wall is an example of a block of sorts where players will look at each other and assess whether or not it is worth even trying. Suddenly AK has a player decided gear system which changes on how much effort the players want to put in, they see someone just hitting 50 and getting into AK and they think it'd be useless even trying due to them being used to other players of higher gear just plowing through everything (And I can say from experience AK is perfectly doable with a party of new 50s, you may kill Demon Wall just at the very edge of the void pool, but he will die all the same). This is something that is completely moronic using a system that randomly assigns players of all gear levels to you. If you don't like working with new players, get your own premade and shape it the way you want it. Based on the amount of threads on the forums, you are bound to find a lot of people who think the same way.

Gadenp, I've been at endgame far longer than most of these new elitist have so that statement is incorrect and you'd see this attitude amongst the majority of Legacy players. Unfortunately, as much of a stereotype as it is, the problem is the players who've come from games like World of Warcraft are degrading the community as the whole with their attitudes. I have no problem what so ever watching a cutscene for a hundredth time as I enjoy the story but never would I take away the enjoyment of another by making demands that they skip the scenes just to speed my run up by a couple minutes.

Don't worry Kiregean. Sadly this is the mentality that came over from WoW and for now we will have to deal with it. Give it about a month or two and they will go through all the content, scream and cry about how fast they did it and have nothing else (well.. no crap), and will move on (thankfully).

Give it time man. The people you are talking to sadly have no logic or refuse to use it if they did.

I not so mature, I will tell such people that bitch about it to go fly kite.

But will also not tell new players to please skip, that is just plain rude. Thus I have a FC that all skips and speed runs content.

I really know not why getting an FC is hard. People that not want to join a FC, will have to deal with DF. That is just the way the ball rolls and all the fun stuff.

The people that asked me to skip the cutscenes were all very nice, explained what to do in the dungeon, what to not to. Were okay if I screwed up.

People are fine to help in team play, but watching a cutscene at the expense of another 6 people, thats something you could live without. Especially when they got the gear, experience, and are the reason you'll even finish the dungeon in a timely fashion.
