Believe what you want, but I experienced a similar wipefest on Titan myself -- in fact, it was the first time I saw a pug fail in this game. Of course I got lucky with another DF pug shortly thereafter, so who knows? /shrug

I'm not asking for a nerf. Never once have I asked for one. Hell, it wasn't even really a complaint. It was more or less me just sulking out loud.

And when I hit Garuda I'll be trying over and over again till I get it done. Like this.

I'm on the kick of trying again today, and best of luck to everyone here who has also said they haven't been able to do it too.

I didn't think you were asking for a nerf I was more pointing out the fact that you have done this so many time and as you say the others in your group keep failing sooo many times. This says a lot about the player base. I have a lot of respect that you tried over and over and have not given up but I feel bad that the playerbase as a whole is so bad at this easy game. I see it everyday when DFing anything just about.

...but to fail repeatedly so long that you FATE yourself to 50 before you complete Titan normal-mode? Does-not-compute.

Glad you won but let me tell one thing... you said you were in a FC and they never talk plus did you asked them for help and they refused? If they did or just ignored you then you are not in a good FC. It was better you changed to a more lively and helpful FC

There are too many factors at play here to easily dismiss the entire playerbase as being "bad." There are severe latency issues with many people around the world right now, there's the complete anonymity of the duty finder breeding a careless attitude, there are many people who are very new to mmorpgs, and may even be new to gaming in general, and of course there's going to be players who are experimenting outside of their own comfort zones when it comes to RPGs (such as a person who has mastered tank classes for 15 years walking in the shoes of a healer for the very first time). My point is that you're playing this game with people from all walks of life and all walks of experience. An experienced player in a group of newbies can actually be the cancer of that group, as easily as a newbie can be in a group of experienced players.

this fight was so easy we did with 2 whm when we were helping a fc mate; but would I ever do it if I ever had the choice? no, because failing because of latency sucks, and that was exactly how I failed so many times when i first ran it. Towards the end, it was not about how to beat Titan, but how to best circumvent the latency issues, how to position myself to minimize the risk of being hit even when i was clearly out of landslide, how to be constantly on the move while still be able to heal etc.

so no, this fight IS a bitch if latency is a problem. I would do Garuda over and over again but would not touch Titan once if i have the choice...

congrats! and do not worry too much about Garuda - she has more mechanics but it's nowhere as frustrating as Titan.
