Also need to look at buffs beyond those and what abilities he will actually gain throughout the fight other than rot. Left side gives him physical dmg up which increases the dmg done to tanks by about 300%(this one requires good gear for your healers and tanks), water jets which is a 270 degree aoe around him, he'll also get voidzones which aren't really an issue. Right side gives him another resistance(forgot which because it's not really important), X-fire which is a fire aoe in the shape of an X, and then chain lightning which is literally just stand far enough apart so it doesn't nuke the entire raid.
Do not look at resistances as a major deal though, yes they will decrease your dps for certain classes by about 40-50(you should be doing upwards of 180-200 by the time you even hit ads before resistance buffs) but if a certain node mechanic(mainly the tank dmg one) is too much to deal with the resistances just need to be powered through. Unless you're planning on doing 4 nodes(which if you do do not do rot, it cannot be killed with the haste buff) you'll have plenty of time even with multiple resistances up that it will all come down to perfecting passing rot, making sure silences are done right(a single missed silence later in the fight could easily be a wipe), and then being able to dodge everything while doing the other 2.
