So we have to wait 15 minutes because of someones selfishness?I SB all my accessories in each dungeon(not the coil). swap out generally for bosses if I'm feeling generous. Nothing wrong with it.
Although i can see it being a problem if people SB'd every piece of gear they could. but.. it's DF, people are free to gear up how ever they want, and you're also free to leave if you don't like people doing it.
I spiritbind for any and all trash (including coil) since I'm a geared healer and can handle even triple pulls provided the tank can grab all/most of the aggro. Most of the time I go in and out of cleric stance and help with the DPS (not something every healer will do)
Even so, my entire right side (jewelry) being spiritbind fodder I still outgear 80-90% of random people in the duty finder. If someone really has a problem with it (only had one person question my aetheryte rings and didn't say anything else after I explained I was wearing them purposefully), I can leave and they can take their chances with the first timer <3000hp healer wearing full af1 and a grand company weapon who's next in line =]
If i want to Spiritbond a few pieces of gear, I am WELL within my rights to do so.
If you want bloody speed runs, go make your own group.
I can wear whatever i want on trash in AK. If you can't kill trash in AK without everyone in Relic with full Darklight, Then you need to learn how to play.
Me swapping one or two bits out on trash does not impede you in any way, shape or form and if you don't like it, make your own groups, or leave.

It slows the run down for your benefit and no one else's. You can argue that the time difference is insignificant, but that's subjective. The principle is you're choosing to sacrifice other people's time for your own gain.
It's the same principle as AFKing, only on a smaller scale.
Okay relax buddyYou're an idiot.
I'm not even going to apologize for that.

I was referring to that posters, saying that we are free to leave.

Almost died laughing at this. Really? 8 Strength is the difference between my Darklight chest and my SB fodder chest. works out to be 4 points off each punch. We're measuring your 'inconvenience' and 'sacrifice' in seconds off the run.It slows the run down for your benefit and no one else's. Go on then, explain to me just how exactly I'm 'sacrificing' your time for my own sake.
I said it before, i said it twice. if you want speed runs, make your own group.
Unfortunately, your statement lacked some context. That was very unclear.
And for that i apologize. I shall now edit my post XD
I have no issue with people leaving because they don't like the look of the group they landed with. In some cases, it could well be some very undergeared people trying to weasel their way in.
I just take issue with people declaring that players who Soulbind gear for Materia in dungeons, to make some Gil are somehow being selfish or negatively affecting the group.

Spirit bonding is kind of a relic from 1.0. I never liked the using crappy gear while doing stuff to make materia which can then be turned into gil. There has got to be a better way they can do it. A rework on the system would be nice.
