AND, everyone looks the same.. lol you spend ton of time on char creation only to wear the same gear as everyone else in the end. Thats my only gripe

This is the bottom line here. These forums are tainted by the Rar Rar Rar this is terrible crew and the SE apologist extremist views which is getting in the way of getting the point across to SE about the real problem. You can argue reasoning all you like but the facts are.
A lot of UI and basic interactions are janky. If you can tell me I need to dismount why not just dismount me anyone?
The server side 300ms position tick makes otherwise well designed content frustrating.
Content wise story is great and way it's told is unique and awesome in MMO terms. Everything else is generic cookie cutter FATE zerg, Leve quests, company leves little to no variations. Dungeons and guildhests are good but totally underincentivised they are poorly rewarded in items / gil and XP compared to FATEs
Endgame. It's repetative and the "badge" (sorry) costs of everything are very high relative to other mmos with similar mechanics drastically increasing the grindy feel.
For all the polish on some areas of the game a lot is lacking and that will drastically reduce the number of people who hang around and without those numbers those few of you who love it to bits will get no new content because SE can't afford the dev team.
PS. 1k character limit is annoying
Yea we have been hoping for that for how long now ?
I agree the change would be welcome but I just don't see it happening.
Lightning and DQX/FFXI events should have been quest based or guildhests, not shitty fates I agree. (but yoshi thinks hes stumbled onto something awesome with fates so don't expect too much from future content)

this game have been designed the lazy way, dungeon farming to be able to beat the DPS checks also known as "bosses" and lineal gear progression.
This game neeeds more useful open world content (pty and solo), and more gear sets with different stats intead of gear tiers like we have now, also they need to add more personalization to classes and jobs, right now the game requires 0 skill, those changes will help the game to be more fun and diverse.
After being a white knight on the beta forums i'm a bit dissapointed with ARR, but i stiil believe they will add more content and change some things, if not i'll just move on. ><
Yup game is dull and doesn't have much upside. I could type out a wall of text like the white knights do but I'm keeping it short and to the point which they can;t do.
Yea I hope they never ever make any more Heavy armor/cowls if they can't get it to where you can hide the helm/hood. If they do, only the vanity system can fix it... Sux either way because upgrading those from one piece to two pieces means getting two better bieces :/
The game is what you make of it. If you only grind fates and dungeons to 50 that's gonna get boring.
The key is to level multiple classes together with gathering/crafting, basically changing it up once in a while.
And well, if you play too much, you're going to get burned out in one way or another, just like in any other MMO.

And let's not forget the whiny elitist snob direction.
