AK Speed Run - Warrior Style

I started to get bored of AK, as did everyone else I would run it with, so one day I decided to spice it up a bit.

Instead of going the train to gate/die/rez route, which is lame imo, I went the pull tons of mobs and AOE the hell out of them route. This cut the run down to 20-25 minutes, depending on DPS. Video link below!

You need amazing heals to pull this off, that's a given due to the number of mobs involved. You actually need everyone to be on the A game, because if you lack anything then you will wipe. Good DPS makes the healers job infinitely easier.

After you've run AK 70+ times then maybe you will understand. It's not about loot, it's about finishing it and getting it over with so that we can move on to do other things. The only way you can get myth tomes at this point is to farm AK, so here we are.

There's so much to do in this game, why wouldn't you speed through repetitive things to move on to something else?

Speaking of carrying runs, lol, I had a blast this morning carrying a couple of goofball archers through the run. Only WARs can do this.

Just came outta a run in AK myself. Had PLD, 2 brd and sch, all with relic and almost full DL. Finished in 27-28 min, so not as fast as you, but it felt extremely fast lol. Demon wall didnt even finish moving forward the 2nd time, before it died. Well, maybe it did, but we never saw the bee's come out.

And yeah, once you run AK over and over and over, you really just wanna get it done as fast as possible. I'm not big a fan of speed runs, but I'm an even lesser fan of grinding the same damn dungeon 100+ times.

Thanks Hiir! I completely agree that only Warriors can do this effectively; a Paladin would not be able to keep up with the AOE's that are going out. Even I have problems with aggro & TP if I am not careful. If a PLD were to do it, the DPS would need to be watching their aggro (which would slow things down).

Sounds like you had some power DPS - nice! You should try doing what I do in the video and see how it goes - it definitely makes the zone less of a snooze-fest.

If u have to run something that many times, standard speed running will not bring fun anymore, especially with unworthy trash monsters. The only entertaining things left could be:

1. Trying to beat personal/fc/world speed record.
2. Completing with non-standard party composition.
3. Completing with crap gear.
