AK Speed Run - Warrior Style

Good job there.

Just came outta a run in AK myself. Had PLD, 2 brd and sch, all with relic and almost full DL. Finished in 27-28 min, so not as fast as you, but it felt extremely fast lol. Demon wall didnt even finish moving forward the 2nd time, before it died. Well, maybe it did, but we never saw the bee's come out.

And yeah, once you run AK over and over and over, you really just wanna get it done as fast as possible. I'm not big a fan of speed runs, but I'm an even lesser fan of grinding the same damn dungeon 100+ times.

If u have to run something that many times, standard speed running will not bring fun anymore, especially with unworthy trash monsters. The only entertaining things left could be:

1. Trying to beat personal/fc/world speed record.
2. Completing with non-standard party composition.
3. Completing with crap gear.

Haha - at first I didn't notice it was you Joy! You know when I grouped with a BLM and told them I did it with a SMN as AOE DPS they were like "what, summoners can AOE?". There are way too many bad summoners in this game; many don't know their DPS potential.

I haven't watched your video at all, but I do 18~20 minute AK runs on my Paladin, and we AoE pull 2-3 packs at a time.

Interesting - and here I was thinking Warriors may have actually had a niche. Way to rain on my parade!

Not too impressive tbh. Any group with 2 relic dps can run it just as fast without going out of their way to pull stuff and aoe. The last group I was in with 2 relic DPS easily killed demon wall before any bees spawned.

The only difference between your video and a normal quick run is that your WHM spent the entire time healing whereas normally a whm will spend 50%+ time dpsing.

Sometimes you can have fun in AK with bad groups.. Rarely, but for example: I had group die except me with Demon Wall at 10-15% health. Got to solo finish it as Warrior. Tank DPS + self heal: let's see a PLD do that. =P
