Not having cures or raises is even more silly. Even a song raise would be cool.

It's not silly. it's not a healing class. Bards didn't heal in Dungeons & Dragons, pretty much the original western roleplaying experience. Even in XI healing wasn't native to the job, it's simply what people chose to sub on it.

if this was so well known, you wouldn't see people complaining about archers singing songs when it's something they'd often b e doing in a game.

The current BRD just doesn't support enough, the songs are so incredibly one dimensional that it's painful. I just hope that with the level cap going up, we'll get a load more utility songs. I don't even mind that it's a damage dealer.

It supports plenty, all the songs are at least somewhat useful, and yes, when the level cap goes up you'll get more songs, just as SMN will get more summons, etc...

This was largely a way to get more people to play the class. in XI too many people wanted bards but not enough people wanted to play them. Bards were in XI what the tanks are in this game- the class everyone wanted and no one had or wanted to play. That's no longer the case. The ONLY issue I have is that i'd rather have had 2 more songs rather than the attack and soul voice (which is good but not worth a slot that could have had another distinct song).

They even changed Bard's secondary, leaving us with even less "support." SE clearly lost its way with Bard.

curing on BRD in 1.0 was so crappy it wasn't even worth setting. Having raise was literally the only reason for that sub class. But BRD can still raise with limit break.

Even Bard's songs kinda suck compared to 1.0. Paeon is never needed, and rarely is ballad. The only thing people seem to care for is Foe Requiem, and that's not support.

Actually, I see them all get used, whereas they were rarely used in 1.0 except for ballad.

Lol you want Bards to be buffed? They are already are the best dps with the best supports.. how do you think other classes feel? Summoners..monks..dragoons..warriors these 4 need the most revamps.

No, these classes are fine. Summoner is great, dragoon is great, MNK *can* be great but only if the monster you're fighting lets you; Warrior could use a little bit of love but it's really a tank not a DPS. I would actually fix it by having gear with physical resistances on it, which are pretty much impossible to get without having to sacrifice your main stat in a slot.
